The product looks nice and we were super excited, BUT the screws/nuts they send do not screw in all the way and it is impossible to get the board and hoop flush and secure to the base. The base screw also does not go in right, and the pole remains flimsy. HUGE scam. These things are a cheap to fix, and the manufacturer should do send decent parts. But for $100 its ok. The up and down adjustments will wear the thing out in time the pole is v flimsy metal and plastic pieces are cheap. We bought it to attach to my above ground intex pool so wasn’t expecting the best quality but could definitely be better. Time will tell on durability.

I bought this for our grandkids, all under 5 y.o. I originally looked at larger, more expensive hoops hoping to find one that could be lowered sufficiently for our current needs but that could be raised to regulation height as the kids aged. I gave up on this approach: they couldn't be lowered enough, or installation was awful, or they were way too expensive. I decided to go with a dedicated little kids hoop which we will eventually replace when the kids get older. This model seemed like a good balance between features and price, but I was prepared to be disappointed. Instead, I was surprised as I assembled it. The design and manufacture quality seemed pretty good. Installation was clear and trouble-free. I won't know how it resists rust until it's been outside all season; I've got my fingers crossed. Note that in the photo, the hoop can be lowered quite a bit more...just enough for my 2 year old to barely tip the ball into the hoop. It's currently set for my 4 y.o., and it can be raised quite a bit for the next few years. The cinder block probably isn't needed but I'm not taking any chances. I highly recommend that you buy a container of Base Gel to ensure that the base doesn't freeze, crack, and/or leak. ... show more
