What I like about it is the geometric pattern and being able to personalize and protect my bike. It’s thick, hard and durable protection. I’m not going to worry about anything scratching my bike where I placed it. It’s easy to install on flat sections but around curves, especially deep curves, is where it’s challenging. The 15mm thickness is tough and rigid, which is what you want for protection, but it may be overkill and hard to conform to curves. It doesn’t stretch like a 3M film at 8mm which is easier to wrap around curves. It comes with a mountain bike frame template but you need to cut it out and trace it over. It gives you an idea of how to create a template. But I couldn’t use the pattern for my ebike. Instead, I had to make my own template and cut it out. There’s a little trial and error here and this took a lot more time than the actual installation. Putting it on is easy if you have the pattern right and not too many curves. I’d like to see an 8mm option that can stretch around curves. I think that’s plenty thickness to protect from high impact damage. ... show more

WilderWild has a great product here. The tape is quality material and is quite a bit thicker than I expected for the price - a nice bonus! I’m pretty meticulous with my bikes and wanted a solid product to protect the frame of my Giant Trance from rock dings, branches, bike racks, scratches from nails, etc. After installation I can tell that this product will serve its purpose very well. It also looks sick on the bike, which was another reason for me purchasing. The wrap has definitely given my slightly older bike (2016) a more modern flare. With that said, I had to dock one star because even after watching the installation video and following it to a tee, I was still unable to remove all the air bubbles from underneath the tape. The bigger the piece, the harder this was to do. My advice would be to use a minimal amount of soapy water because almost all of the bubbles I got were due to water being trapped under the paint within the adhesive. All in all though, I would definitely buy this product again as a sweet protection + style bonus for my next future bike! ... show more

I was happy with the amount of material and how often they placed their logos as I’m not a big logo fan. The stencil worked great and there was a grid pattern on the back the help keep lines straight. Took a bit of time to get on. Used a heat gun and soapy water like the video says and it worked really well and I really like the way it turned out. Would buy again without hesitation. It is thick enough too so seems like it will protect well.

Dont be in a hurry to put them on. ****I ordered the dragon scales style first and the gold color of my bike did not show thru very well. You really need to have a bright colored bike for that design. So I switch to the clear and it looks great. Excellent customer service ... show more

    • Don't use clear on a dark frame

I previously installed the contour pattern on a light color frame and it turned out great. Not the easiest to install and I had to poke holes in a couple spots to relieve small air/water bubbles, but I was very happy with the finish. Having experienced that success I ordered the clear tape for my new dark blue frame and I now regret the purchase. First of all, the finish was sub-par, with many more air bubbles than I remember on my old bike; this could be an artifact of the dark frame which seems to show them more. Second, the new bike has narrower tubes with harder edge transitions, and getting this tape to conform to the tubes around the transitions was not easy especially following the squeegee method shown in the video. Third the clear tape became very malleable quickly when heat was applied and sometimes became too soft, and when pushed with the squeegee simply distorted and required undoing and redoing. (The upside to this is you can heat the tape to help make it conform to more challenging bends.) Plus as another reviewer said, the factory edge on the tape is rough and does not look seamless on the bike. Now that I have it all on, I went out to my garage the following day and noticed that the tape was pulling up on one of the more pronounced inside bend transitions, having shrunk I guess. The tape is tough so I guess I trust it to do its job, I only wish the final product on this application looked better than it does. I would not buy again unless I got a pattern version and was applying on a light color frame. ... show more
