The Deckas chainring is a quality one. I put this 38T to convert from 3x to 1x on my XC bike, I don't go off road too much just gravel and around the neighborhood so this works out well for me. Appearance, dimensions fits exactly.. The only part I've seen needs improvement is on the mounting holes, it must have a countersink or counterbore for the mounting screw to sit in exactly. If the nuts are not tightened enough, the chain ring will move..

I've used these on a couple bikes, with no complaints. Great for the price if you want to try an oval without committing too much. However the one I got today showed obvious signs of being mounted and ridden for a bit. I'm sure it has no effect on performance, but it's a bit of a disappointment to receive a used product when you paid the price for a new one. ... show more

I live in a fairly flat place, and the stock 38 by 11 just felt really slow to me, so I replaced my 38t chain ring with one of these 44t rings. Seems to work just fine, hasn't dropped the chain or been mangled yet.

i bought this ROUND aluminum DECKAS 38T chainring to replace my stock STEEL shimano 36T chainring that came on my shimano steps e motor. great variaty of sizes and color of chainrings. for the Money you cant loose. the red chainring is trick looking against an all black bicycle.

For the price, it is a great deal. I have absolute black, wolf tooth, raceface wide narrow rings. I dont see a difference in terms of initial quality. Alloy seems good enough to last for now, no drops yet in 50 miles or so.
