    • Don't buy the RED duck head. It doesn't fit.

Bought the Red Duck Head that was suggested by Amazon, and it does not fit. Holes are off by a full 1/4in. So that forces me to modify it or send it back and wait on Amazon's sketchy delivery. Better off paying the extra for the one sold with the kit. If that one doesn't fit, you could blame it on a person instead of dealing with Amazon's never ending excuses as to why it doesn't fit/work/ship or arrive. That said... The actual armature and assembly look and feel sturdy. The welds are nice, and it has a good finish. Just wish they could identify the brand of duck head as so many are just weak plastic and will never hold up to the abuse the part is designed to take. ... show more

Welded the plate on wrong. Welder must have had their eyes shut and Quality control must have had the day off. I am afraid to send it back do to the fact I can get another one of the same or even worse. I haven't had the chance to use the part to see if it is of quality and can do the job as intended. Added pictures of what they sent compared to what was advertised. I bet you my payment went through undefective. Plus I can get a hold of a person to tell them about my problem and to assure me that another defective part wont come my way a second time. I guess I will be drilling my own holes where they should be. Isn't that consider uncompensated labour here in the States and against the law? Forced to give 1 star in order to post my complaint. Which is infringing on my pursuit of happiness. ... show more

this cost more than the HF tire changer base, but still, it is the cheapest I can find on the internet of the same kind. the metal is strong enough to serve what it is supposed to. I used it to unmount and mount light truck AT tires with no issue at all.

So, I have had time change a few tires and it will do the job. I did make a change to the design, the duck head comes with a metal plate but it doesn’t fit the down rod, I installed a new rod and welded a new larger fitting to fit. It works much better after a few upgrades.

Size: Tire Changer - Duck Head and Silver Cone
I've changed tires before with other "DuckBills" and they are all metal with a plastic or rubber outer skin to protect the wheel. This one is entirely plastic and it bends and I can't get the bead to go over the duckbill like it is suppose to. Don't waste your money.
