  • This works as an affordable alternative to subscription services
Size: 1 Button & 1 Watch & 1 Receiver
I have only tested the device. I bought it for my father who lives in another state and I haven't been able to visit him and have him use it. However, the device works. Some care is required to get it set up. The instructions aren't the best. I may come back and include what I did. Pressing the button on the watch or one of the buttons gives you an alert on your phone. That's what I needed. The watch is of a rugged quality that will easily survive bath time. The buttons can be worn on a lanyard or attached to a hard surface via double sided tape. Both are provided. ... show more

  • Wouldn't work with our 2g
Size: 2 Button & 1 Receiver
Our network is 5g and 2g. I tried to connect for over 3 hours and remain uncertain whether the problem was our dual network or the Tuyo SOS'. I tried pausing the 5g as specd in the manual. I tried plugging the unit directly into the router. Phone, router and SOS unit were all on the same desktop, so very close. Rebooted router. Didn't matter. Read all the tips and many user experiences. I was motivated bc not many non-subcription alert options exist, and this would have been perfect for my mom. The problem may have been with our 2g/5g network but whatever the case, I could not make this work. ... show more

  • For my Parents
Size: 2 Button & 1 Receiver
My Mom is in early stage of dementia. This works perfectly for peace-of-mind. The set up was easy. However, I tried to add my sister's phone to the account, and the app would not allow me to set a password, even within the parameter. So, she is the only one who will receive an alert, but her work schedule allows for that flexibility. This came in handy a couple of times while my Dad was hospitalized for a month. Mom was able to alert my sister without having to scramble with a phone. Now, my Dad has an alert button as well if he can't get to a phone. This system is perfect if your looking to save cost and don't really need a system monitored by call center. ... show more

  • Easy connection
Size: 1 Button & 1 Receiver
A bit misleading. to get it to communicate two way you have to pay for additional service but it does issue nothing but an alert without any additional purchases.

  • For the safety of a loved one it's a bargain
Size: 1 Watch & 1 Receiver
I think some of the dissatisfied customers who left reviews had different expectations for this product. This is a wearable alert button which can be connected to wifi to send you ***IN APP*** notifications to your mobile device. This does not text or call your phone without the additional subscription. We are using it without the subscription and it works as advertised. For some background, we got this because recently my mom slipped out of bed and could not get up from the floor. She was in another room and no one knew until the morning. She was otherwise ok, but she just doesn't have the mobility to get up from the floor. So for my own peace of mind and to stop middle of the night bed checks, I wanted a wearable alert button for her. This is the only one I found that has the look of a smart watch and not a medical alert bracelet so she will not be self conscious about wearing it. I bought one for each of the folks and we have tested it and it works as we expected. I connected two buttons and two receivers to the app and changed the names so I will know which of the buttons is signaling for me. The volume is adjustable (off, low, medium, high), alarm sounds can be changed, and alarm duration can be changed as well. I set the alarm time for 10 minutes so it will definitely wake me if needed but also so that when I am out of the house and get the notification, the turing off of the alarm will let the folks know I received their alert. Setup was easy enough and the instructions provided were very clear. The following was all the setup required: 1) I first got the app and set up an account. There are two apps that you can choose from and there is a QR code for each in the instructions. You only need one the apps not both. Clicking the link took me to the app store to get the free "smart life" app. 2) Then I had to connect my phone to the 2.4gHz band. My wiFi has dual band (both 2.4gHz and 5gHz) and my phone connects by default to 5gHz. My router has an app which allows me to control the connections (the app is where you would go to reset the password for your wifi) and I chose the setting to temporarily connect my phone to 2.4gHz instead of 5gHz. 3) Once on the correct band, I plugged in the receivers. Distance from receiver to wifi needs to be less than 66 ft and distance of button to receiver needs to be within 230ft. Having mesh wifi and two receivers I set them up in different areas of the house. In the app I selected "Add device" and hit the pairing button on the back of the receiver. The instructions have screen shot illustrations and diagrams of what needs to be done and what button to push. The instructions were very helpful. Including pics in this review. 4) After the receiver is paired to the 2.4 gHz wifi band then you connect the SOS button (the watch that has the button they will wear) to each receiver. In the app later you can name each button and each receiver. I renamed them since there will be two people with buttons and I wanted to know which one was sending a signal for help. If you were setting up a stationary button you could label each button with room names. 5) Finally, I updated my phone notification settings to allow the app to send me notifications. We already had a test run of this as my dad did bump the button getting his coffee He was unhappy that the alarm has to be turned off in the app only. I am ok with this setup because I think false alarms are acceptable and expected. Having a loved one in need of help but unable to get it is not acceptable for me. So all in all excellent product. No subscription necessary and it was a great value. I will update if anything changes but at this time we are all very satisfied. ... show more

  • Too many false alarms
Size: 1 Button & 1 Watch & 1 Receiver
The units are relatively easy installation paired and linked. Once the activated alert button triggers the pager it works fine. Good controls in the apps and shareable with other family members. There is one snag something triggers false alarms. Luckily after a month of use, false alarms sounded only in the daytime. We could not figure out the cause. Another issue is that the pulse alert button looks water-tight but is not. A shower took it out of service. Despite the false alarms we are satisfied with the purchase as a stand-alone patient care pager, price point, while giving us peace of mind. ... show more

  • Exactly what I needed!!!!
Size: 2 Button & 2 Receiver
It’s perfect! My mom had fallen in the middle of the night, and we sleep on a different floor of the house. Because of her stroke, her speech is a whisper. She was there for a few hours until we got up. The button is easy for her to push, the alarm is loud enough to wake us up, in the event we are not home it’s sounds an alarm to my phone through the app. Even if you are on a call at the time! This in combination with my camera system, Has given me such peace of mind. I have a button in each room of the house that she goes to, and 1 attached to her walker !! If you need some peace of mind, I definitely recommend it!!!! ... show more
