I wish I could give this a fair review. However I have spectrum internet so I can only report on what happened. The regular WiFi is trash so they recommended I buy a booster. So I bought this one. It connected very easily and was all set up in less than 10 minutes. So this is the part where I can’t be fair. I didn’t see a difference in WiFi speed or distance covered. I believe it’s because of spectrum and not this Booster but I can’t be sure. EDIT: I ended up keeping it and spectrum got me a better router. This is actually working a lot better now. How I have it set up is I have it plugged into the wall and set up. Then I have a Ethernet cable coming out of the extender and into my Xbox. It provides my Xbox with a more stable connection. Then I use the boosted wifi for all my wireless stuff upstairs. It’s working great. The speeds are as I expect with my internet company. I don’t see any loss. I don’t see TOO much gain in speed itself but I’m also not loosing signal all together. I’d rather have a stable tad bit slower WiFi than fast and unstable. ... show more

I had real high hopes this would work in extending the wifi to our back deck where the signal is weak. Setting this up was pretty simple using the WPS buttons on the extender and my router. In the same room as the router the extender showed a strong connection to my router (green router light) so I know it is recognizing my router and connecting to it. I even tested a connection to a device (Roku) and it worked fine. Here's where things went south. When I moved it to the furthest wall in our home from the router which is only about 20 feet away with very few obstructions along the way, the extender starts off with a green router light indicating it has a strong connection. My bubble was bursted quickly as within a few minutes the light went amber then red indicating a poor signal. My cell phone when put in the same exact spot receives a very strong signal when connected to my wifi. So why not the extender? I tried moving it closer to the router only to get the same results. Ultimately I had to put it within 5 feet of my router to get the router light to stay green. Anything beyond that seemed to result in a poor connection. I tried moving my router to a more open area in hopes that would help. Results were the same. I spent a lot of time troubleshooting in vain ending up with the same results (and a lot of frustration). I really thought this would work great especially given my router. But only being able to place it 5 feet from my router to get a good connection renders this pretty useless to me. I am therefore returning it and will do further research for a product that may be better. A big disappointment! ... show more
