  • Asus Has Done it Again !! Amazing WoW WiFi 6e is here to Stay @!
The Asus Axe11000 is a Beautiful amazing peace of Technology, The Setup of the router was very easy, I have the Axe11000 connected to my Old Asus Ax11000 router via the 2.5g lan to the 2.5g wan on the Axe11000 with no issues at all, the wireless settings are in Smart Connect mode with all Wireless bands Sharing the same Ssid ,the 6gig WiFi 6e connects to my Samsung galaxy s21 ultra at 2.4gig and higher speeds on non 6e channed is around 1.9g and steady, one thing that you should know is that The 6g WiFi 6e uses Wpa 3 security settings and the other bands don't, overall no issues with the the 6g bandwidth and WiFi 6e my laptop which has a ax200 wifi card connects perfectly fine no issues, I do have a new Intel ax210 wifi 6e card on the way and don't expect any other issues, I will update this post as time goes on, but I have to say that Asus pulled out all the stops with this model thermal Design is amazing and the attached antennas are Real Antennas not cheap plastic ones and I look forward to seeing how Asus improves the Router with new Firmware. Some people who say that they can't connect to the internet using the 2.5g port I had it connected to the router before I started the Setup and I also used the Asus Mobile app to setup the Router and not a pc connected to any lan or Wan ports, Update as of a few days of Use wifi 6e works best with Smart Connect mode off ,and my Laptop which has the new WiFi 6e card connects at over Gigabit speeds ,As Asus release more Firmware updates for this model I believe that all major bugs will be fixed by the updates,,2/21/21 Update some users are having issues with WiFi 6g bandwidth, Try removing the Router from your network settings and then check if you have The Latest Intel Wireless driver, this usually fixes the problem,Update Use the ASUS Mobile APP To SETUP the Router!! Update since I've had some time to Test out all the features and my S21 ultra and wifi 6e laptops connect perfectly fine with excellent wifi speeds, not sure why so many people are having issues with the Router and Asus customer service is 100 percent available on Twitter and also using the Feedback option on the Asus mobile app!@ ... show more

  • Slick router and amazing for a wifi 6e device
Beautiful looking spider machine Was able to go from an asus ac1900 to this one and doubled the speed on wifi. The user interface is slick and fast and much more responsive than any other router interface i have ever used. I can get sustained speed everywhere in a 3 story home,so the router is no slacker The reason for not enough stars is this: running into some issues with the 6ghz band. I do have a ax210ngw on the desktop but it's not detecting the 6ghz band. So need more investigation on cause of this. Its hard to investigate the cause other than getting another wifi 6e client which are by far few. Maybe I'll snag my friends samsung s21 in a couple of days and will be able to actually test it on 6ghz ----Edit---- Update 2/5/2020 On a 1Gbps line, I can consistently get about 700-800 Mbps 3 story up (router is on the basement) on a DFS channel for an AX device. AC devices are no slouches either and now top at 500-600 Mbps 3 story up. On non-DFS channels I top around 450-550 Mbps so that is not bad either. Guess I don't need to buy a Mesh network! AX210 doesn't work on windows. Found a thread on intel forums that it might need a windows update later on for activating 6ghz (thread name: Intel AX210 can't create 6GHz hotspot ). Also found that linux 5.11 should support 6Ghz so tried it out with Ubuntu and 5.11rc6. Unfortunately though the AP is detected connection fails so I guess its more wait and watch with linux too. Atleast the Ax210 saw the 6ghz AP. So yay my device is not broken. And my friend bought a regular S21 so that testing avenue is gone for the time being. Edit Nov 2021 6Ghz band works great on a Pixel 6 Pro. The range is shorter than the 5Ghz band and the phone shows lower signal strength but the 6ghz bandwidth speed in my house is usually more than what I get with the 5Ghz Other than that, the perfect router. I use remote desktop from my top story laptop to my computer in the basement and use Zoom video and audio and both latency and bandwidth are great enough that I can use Zoom effectively. love the router! ... show more

  • This Route Is A Beast
I purchased this router because I already had ASUS routers in my home and this is a beast of a router filled with the most modern features available on a home router! If only it did VLANs, that would be amazing. But I quickly took advantage of the WiFI 6e feature, allowing me to have the fastest and most up-to-date standard available at the time of this review. Now my cell phones get amazing speeds. I'm also taking advantage of using WiFi 6 with the AiMESH technology. I have the main router in my office, and I also have two other routers in my home acting as MESH points/locations. Inside the management portal of the router, it shows how and what devices are connected to what MESH device. At first, the devices weren't spreading already like I hoped they did, but after a while, I noticed that the various WiFi devices in my home were picking the best signal for it which is great! I have approximately 9 WiFi devices so this is great. Another cool feature is that it will let you connect multiple ISP Internet connections to it. You can pick various options on how to manage this. Of course, buying say a cable and fiber from the phone company can be expensive, it sure would be cool. Due to the cost, I haven't decided to do this, but I think it's cool that is there just in case! There are a ton of other features to explore. This is mighty expensive to purchase at the time of this review, but for me, it was worth having the latest and great technology managing my network and having a router that is providing firmware updates! Cheers! ... show more
