These shorts are the perfect length and width to flatter most leg shapes. More than once I was stopped by complete strangers and asked if Michelangelo had sculpted my legs. Pretty sure that was a compliment! These shorts almost look like a skirt but they're safer because you don't have to risk flashing people if it's windy. The high waist features a stretchy waist band with a button that is really cute and comfy and doesn't give off that frumpy-old-lady-vibe some stretchy waistbands can give off. No offense to any frumpy old ladies out there in review-reading land! I laundered the shorts in a gentle cold water wash as I do most of my clothes (and occasionally myself) to help everything last longer. I hung them to dry--I do that only to my clothes, so no worries there. There was no discernable shrinkage. I discovered that these shorts with their linen look and feel didn't wrinkle much at all even after sitting in a car and driving in them for hours and hours.
