I have used this on metals, wood, and a few types of plastics so far. All in all good, and doesn't leave residue on any of the materials mentioned. If anything its light and can just be rubbed off. It is tough to cut though, and sort of tough to peel the backing off. Not really a big deal. I found alcohol wipes helpful after every few cuts with scissors to get tape glue off them. Flat on an item peels off with no residue, shearing through ie the scissors however does if one can imagine that. ... show more

I needed a solution for holding down boards when using my CNC and making cuts on stacked boards at one time. I was using the super glue and blue tape method, and still do for some things. This tape is awesome for securing stock to the CNC bed. It is a medium weight tape that can’t be torn, you will need to cut it when applied. The adhesion is super strong and on certain materials seems like it will not release, a little prying and it will come up with no damage to the pieces. I ordered two different sizes for the projects I do and both of them have the same holding power. I was skeptical about this when ordering, but after receiving it and using it…Wow, it is super nice double sided tape. I will use this product from now on where double sided tape is needed for my woodworking projects. ... show more

With a bit of pressure during application, you can get a good, tight adhesion between your work surfaces. In the picture is a future guitar fretboard tapped to the guitar fret scale. With the two stuck together, it's easy to move it to the next slot in the jig. It is secure enough that it won't jiggle around or move on me, but will stay right where I need it. ... show more

Thin and strong, but removes easily. The peel off part of the tape is easy to remove, not like most others that it takes forever to remove the backing. I used it for inlay work and I think it is by far the best I have tried.

    • Not suitable for cnc hold down tape

I bought a couple rolls of this tape to use on a few projects I've been working on. It worked well when used to tape some thin pieces of wood to plywood, before feeding through my planer. I do not recommend this as hold down material for material on a cnc router. I ruined several pieces of exotic hardwood before deciding the tape, and not my spoilboard surface, was causing the material to come loose during carves. ... show more
