With a full stainless steel housing and marine-grade components, this heavy-duty and robust ice maker produces an impressive 23 lbs of ice per day and is able to hold up to 12 lbs of ice. Aiming to conserve space with a stylish look, the 14-inch width makes this ideal for in-cabinet installation with no additional clearance required around the sides. The front-venting design allows you to install this stainless steel ice maker under a counter or in-cabinet for a seamless appearance. Featuring high grade stainless steel and hardware components that are UV and corrosion-resistant the unit will have superior durability in harsh environments. The ice maker also comes standard with a 6 foot highly durable braided stainless steel waterline connection hose. The Whynter MIM-14231SS can be reversed to open from either the left or right to complement the flow of your space design. The Whynter MIM-14231SS is equipped with a latch-lock that keeps the door securely closed under various mobile conditions while allowing easy access when required. Using less than 3 gallons of water to produce 23 lbs of ice a day, the ice maker is ideal for mobile use. Additionally, melted ice is recycled into new ice and no drain is required, allowing for fast and convenient installation in most spaces.

Very pleased with performance of ice maker. It's quite,and makes quality ice as advertised! Delivery was slower than expected, it took15 days! Packing looked good, but after unpacking I discovered it was damaged in the back corner. I really needed it, so didn't return it! Right after I ordered, they lowered price about 20 dollers, I did get that discount! If it wasn't for the damages, and delivery speed, I would have given it 5 Stars! ... show more

We replaced an u-line ice machine with this Whynter #14231-SS. We had an issue with the our first unit and e-mail Whynter and Chenie responded right away. She helped us work though everything and replaced our unit with a new one. We installed the new unit and we are absolutely pleased. One of the best ice machines for the money, we have more ice than we know what to do with.... LOL You will be very happy with one in your home,rv, or boat. ... show more

I purchased the Whynter Ice maker to replace the Raritan I had for 15 years. Didn't last 2 years and had numerous issues with the unit. Will not buy Whynter products again, I will stick with Well trusted and branded companies in the future.

    • So far so good. Does what it is supposed to do.
It came in damaged but usable and it is to be built in so it was not a big deal, but it is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. The ice seems to stick together but it makes a lot of ice. It looks like it will need to be defrosted on a regular basis to prevent ice crystal build up on the sides.

We were replacing an ice maker on are boat that was only three years old. The ice maker was always loud and it stop working after three years. We just replaced it with this one and we couldn't be happier. It is awesome very quit and makes great ice!! Highly recommend this one.
