It's a pretty good skateboard for those learning how. I have had it for over a year now and it wears well. There are plenty of scratches on the sides but that's normal for most skateboards that are ridden regularly. The tread on the surface hasn't worn off either. One significant problem is that the wheels do not travel well on rough terrain. Hitting tiny bits of gravel is uncomfortable in that it will jam the board to a stop. He's used it on concrete as well as a bike path without issue. My dad bought this board for Christmas for me, it was my dream come true. I really liked the board, but around the 4th time I used it, it got chipped. After that, the chips kept coming. I was still enjoying my board, and even told my friends while riding yesterday (Tuesday, February 21) at a café, “this board is unbreakable, no matter what trick I tried to do.” Ironically, I tried to do a hard trick (a 180 pop shove it), and when I landed, it broke in half!
