I really like the fact that it's lightweight and it's reusable. Well worth the money it's easy to cut just take your time very important! The fabric is durable so it's not going to wear out an effective in blocking out the light and heat. I like the way it looks you're able to hide it and cut it out to the size you want. Easy to cut and the velcrow is very sturdy. I had no issues with mine falling down. These are very good at keeping the light out but also good for keeping the heat out! Today it’s 3 degrees cooler in this room compared to yesterday so far and it’s about the same temp outside! I like that I can easily take them down with the Velcro’s in case I want some natural light for my plants. ... show more

While these work well, unless you have some way to professionally cut and mount them they are not 100% blackout. Hand cutting is effortless, but maintaining a good cut is difficult without significant prep. I honestly would have preferred to install a curtain rod and get a traditional blackout curtain but again, these work if you like thin, tarp like material and having to Velcro directly on your window. If you need something quick and easy this was great and it works really well for sure! I have had no issues easily done by yourself with no help. Blocks out a lot of light. I have an a/c window unit so I couldn’t shut my blind and this was a life saver to get.

We have tried Black out Curtains, Black out window film and PCV Light Blockers on my daughter’s windows. She is brain injured so she does not want even a tiny bit of light to show. This fabric was wonderful. I did buy strip velcro to go on the sides and bottom of the windows. The top we used the velcro strips provided which worked well for us. We did have to work around some window blinds at the top. Would have been easier if we had taken the blinds off. This photo is as we applied the fabric on the window moulding. We also left on the PCY Light Blocker edge pieces. This fabric totally blocks out all light but can be removed for window cleaning or if you wanted to open the window. You can get the fabric completely flat and wrinkle free with a little bit of work. We did not worry about this since the blinds cover the whole area. If you are looking for complete light blocking this will work for you. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Pros: Keeps room dark enough for my liking (I prefer a little light so I cut it to show a little light), keeps room cool Cons: difficult to cut, adhesive strips stay on the window, but the black out cover itself tends to fall off after a while (inconvenient when baby is sleep) Overall: if you need a dark room, but you don’t want to change curtains, or if you just want it more dark, this is worth the cost. This product works exactly like it advertised. Our bedroom gets all of the afternoon sun and heat. This has reduced the heat inside our bedroom and we rest much better at night. Also I no longer have to run ceiling fan to keep room cool. BEST invention!
