We have had a couple white fuzzy blankets in the past and they always took a few washes before you could put it on something dark without a bunch of white fuzzies left behind. My cat, Petula, approves (and so do I). The fleece blanket is a lovely, soft, shade of hunter green (it looks too blue in my photo). It's nice and warm and arrived well packed - just a little squished. I hung it out to fluff up. There was NO bad smell or even any smell at all and I used it on the bed the first day I got it. I think the textured surface is my favorite part. When I get a new, flat, blanket, invariably, my cat will make pulls with her claws and it will look unsightly immediately. Not this one! Its surface is covered in little tufts and any pulls or snags will just disappear. It is completely reversible and the hem is very well sewn on all four sides.
