This is a compact unit that fits under the stairs in my garage (see picture). The size is perfect for me as this generator will only be used via transfer switch during extended power outages here. Otherwise, I don't want to see it other than to start it a few times a year for maintenance. No issues at all with delivery or damage as others have mentioned. Amazon seems to have a special truck in my area for bulky items -- there were two guys and they were great about unloading carefully. Generator looks perfect. Assembly was about 20 minutes, which is fine except it was about 20 degrees F. Started right up with the remote start, ran for an hour, then put a small 120v load on it to test -- no issues. My only complaint is that the manual states that this is a "floating neutral" unit, and the generator panel itself is labeled "Neutral Bonded to Frame". From what I've read, these are opposite statements so I'm not sure what I'm working with. I have an electrician coming for some work later this month and I will have them take a look. ... show more

I bought this gas generator because of constant power outages in a remote area. First time starting , it sounded very rough and I realized that gas was pouring out of the bottom every time I turned the fuel valve on. I attempted to contact Westinghouse support multiple times, calls, emails… NO CUSTOMER SERVICE WHATSOEVER. I’ve been without power for 24 hrs now- their website gives a number to call if generator not working during power outage- I was transferred to an answering service who gave “ canned” answers to my questions. Still haven’t heard back from Westinghouse . For that reason alone, I’ll never buy another product from them . ... show more

Works ok, remote switch is really convenient and saves fuel. The only issue I have is it surges up and down when the fuel level gets to like half and continues for several hours then goes back to running fine. Not sure why but can afford to be without power so just dealing with it.
