I have always used the old kind of wood burner, so I wanted to try this. I have wood burned on wood for over 40 years. I got this, and I like it. You do have to keep the tips clean. I just have a fine piece of sandpaper to gently clean the tip every 5 or ten minutes. If you do not do this, it will not burn evenly for you. I loved how I can do more details with this. I had my 13 year old granddaughter try and she loved it and did not have any trouble with it. ... show more

I just got this today I used for 20 minutes than it just died! No heat went into the tool! DOA! I poured over the reviews overall the wood burning tools. Even had ChatGpt rate it! This one had the highest rating by percentage with five stars being 75% of the 94 people that bought the tool. So I ordered it. I got it, I opened it up, set it up and started using it and it just totally quit! Returning it ASAP! I bought a similar to like this with the small heating coils, and I returned that one too because the handle melted on my first try! I bought a cheapo from Walmart and that's what I've been using and looks like I'm stuck with that one! ... show more
