Unfortunately, I’ve had to send two generators back under warranty. The first one started knocking or chattering like a piece of aluminum foil with on top of it rattling replacement came in. I only had it for two weeks and the motor locked up and it had oil in it and everything was supposed to be done was done. I haven’t started up the third one that I just received about a week ago. All of the trouble the company threw in a magnetic oil dipstick to catch any kind of metal shaving oil, so it doesn’t run through the system. The most quietest generator I have ever heard it still got some noise to it, but not like most generators that I have heard extremely obnoxious loud Other than that I’ve had. Purchased this Generator within the last month as a backup for my residence in case we lose power. This product is 120V and to backup my house I need a 240V generator (for safety purposes connecting to appliances in kitchen and laundry room). Spoke with a Master Electrician and stated this could be a fire hazard if used. Reached out to Amazon and WEN Customer Service and neither are able to provide a refund/credit towards purchase of a 240V WEN Generator. All I want to do is to exchange for the correct product. Terrible customer service and will not be purchasing WEN in the future, and will look to stop purchasing as much on Amazon. Unfortunate situation.
