I actually mounted this in a different outside box designed better to be waterproof. It fit well inside my box I bought. I took off the cap on this unit since I didn’t need it inside my other waterproof box mounted on my chicken coop outside wall and ran wiring from this plug to put plugins inside my coop . I also mounted a electrical box over this plug on the inside just for more security that the chickens won’t be able to get to the wiring and damage it or the poultry getting shocked! The installation went very well and I have no concerns this won’t work as it should. Without the other waterproofing box I added though, I’m not sure how well this would do out in a bad rain storm or snow? Use your own judgement what’s best for you? ... show more

    • Perfect For My Camper
The media could not be loaded. Our Trailmanor 3023 camper has a 30 amp service. When camping in cold weather, we run a 15 amp extension cord from the power box to inside the camper. This allow me to operate a 110 volt heater without taxing the regular 30 amp service. It does not take much to quickly be using 30 amps! With this installed, I can now plug in an extra 15 amp extension cord into this power inlet to supply power to a dedicated line inside to run the extra heater. I purchased a heavy duty extension cord (12 gauge wire). I used a string to determine exactly how much of the cable I would need inside the camper and cut the extension cord as needed. The part with the female end was installed in the camper and the cut end connected to the WELLUCK Power Inlet. The Unit was caulked/sealed to make it weatherproof. I installed a replacement female outlet on the cut end of the extension cord which gave me a 13' heavy duty extension cord to use (when possible) to supply power to the new power inlet box. I remain very pleased with this install and it has worked out great. Having the extra 15 amp supply for a dedicated electric heater was great. I would highly recommend this product. I installed this in the side of our travel trailer, to server a dedicated outlet for a space heater. This lets me connect a 20 amp cord for the heater as well as our usual 30 amp connection.
