Ok now I ordered this because it was half the pride of Grandpa's weed puller. I was sceptical of the 3 piece handle and of the head. Do I saved all the packageing ready to return it. Gave it a try this morning with fairly hard ground. I used it for about 2 hours and it works flawlessly. Very durable and pulls them danyliones roots and all . The added bonus is now my lawn and flower bead have been aerated. Lol buy this tool you will love it. Effortless pulling. Just center it on your weed step down on the foot pedal and lean it towa6 the petal then pull. Easy and the kids will love to help. ... show more

    • Metal parts are very sturdy, wood sections parts of handle are not.
UPDATE: Seller contacted me, which I greatly appreciate, and they made it right. Hoping that I rec'd a defective item. I will definitely purchase from this seller again. I was so excited that this arrived early. Went outside to use on a dandilion, pushed it in and stepped on the bar to close the claw and the bottom and middle portions of the wood handle instantly cracked. I will end up going to the hardware store and purchase some metal pipes (in two diameters0 to attempt to slide over the handle portion so that I can continue to use it. I would not purchase again UNLESS it was had a single piece fiberglass handle. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Edit to update - while it made it easier when it worked after literally the 3rd time using it the handle snapped. This is in pretty soft soil so their should be no reason it snapped like this. The tool itself is awesome but I had to change my rating because here I am already having to return it and find a replacement with a better handle. It has definitely made my job easier. My whole yard is full of goat heads. This has made it so much easier to get them out at the root. Still need to figure out a way to get all the loose bits but for the vines this is amazing. I only wish I had gotten the split handle pole instead of they one that screws together as I feel like I’m constantly having to tighten it back up. Other then that I absolutely love it. ... show more

I was motivated to get this tool by the increasingly large & menacing thistle in our front flowerbed. The tool was easy to use & my 13 year old was able to remove the thistle & most of its very long & thick taproot. We may have to battle it again next season but at least now we’ve got the proper tool for the job! ... show more

UPDATE: Wow. Customer service from this company is phenomenal. I could never recommend these guys enough! I’m sure “grandpas weed puller” or whatever it’s called could only dream of providing the quality services this company is able to provide. I’m so very thankful they were able to provide a replacement quickly after my initial complaint, but they were absolutely so kind and quick to it! Original: After an hour the part between the bottom section and middle bar stripped away and could no longer screw together. Super disappointing since it was used for only an hour. I could return it or I could just glue it together. I was super hopeful it would last longer. ... show more

Update: Have to say customer service was unbelievable. I didn’t even ask but they reached out offered me a full refund and even asked if they could send me a replacement tool for our troubles. It’s nice to see a company that stands behind their product and will do anything to make the customer happy. To me that’s a win in my mind and the proper way to treat a customer. Thank you. My wife used the tool for 3 weeks before it snapped at the end. I bought this item because of the wood handle and cast iron end.
