  • Order a copy for everyone! I’m here for this book!!!
I’m literally obsessed! This just came to my door about 30 minutes ago and I can’t put it down! I’m probably going to burn dinner, I’m so into this book haha! All jokes aside I’m so into this! 1. I love cannabis. I am so passionate about it and educate myself as much as i can on every facets of this world! This book is soooo informative and fun to read. I don’t feel like the information goes over my head/too sciencey, nor do I feel like it’s watered down. The information is clear and effective. 2. We LOVE and collect books! This is going to be the most perfect addition to my coffee table. It will be an easy resource to have handy to explain something cannabis related (frequent topic in my home lol)! This book is also just sooooo beautiful. The illustrations are dope af, and the formatting is really easy to follow. 3. I collect printed materials about cannabis (magazines and books) for the future. In a billion years when I have grandchildren, I’m sure all of this information will be so wild and silly that “cannabis was just legalized when grandma was in her 20’s” lol! I have bought a few other books blindly on amazon for the collection and personally, this is my favorite already! And the price?!? All my “best buds” will be getting a copy for the holiblaze! Ok enough stoner jokes. Just buy this book. Buy this book for you. For your mom who thinks a dab is a dance move. For your coffee table collection. For your best friend. As a Secret Santa gift... idk- just buy a copy for everyone. It’s the perfect cannabis book. Everyone can learn here! I’m here for this book. Five stars. Yaaaaas!!!! ... show more

  • Hey Michelle, Old Stoners Aren’t So Bad
This is a great, informative book and I would recommend it to those just getting in to weed. However, as an old hippie, I don’t get why the author has to keep putting down us old stoners (tie-dye = God forbid), that have helped make possible the legalization the younger generation is seeing. You all are reaping the benefits of what we have been fighting for all along. We are the veterans of the Weed War. Show us some respect, would you? ... show more

  • Incomplete and contradictory info
At first I was excited about how thorough that book appeared to be, until I was looking for what ratio of weed to oil to use for making edibles. The chapter starts out saying that they're going to get very specific and scientific so that you know exactly what you're working with dosage-wise. Great! That's what I need to know! But then it gets so vague that none of my questions are answered. One recipe says to use 2-4 scoops. What? That's not a unit of measure! Is a scoop a teaspoon or a cup? Another recipe lists cannacoconut oil but doesn't give you the recipe for that! There's tons of other inconsistencies, too. First it tells you to grind the weed before decarboxylating it (and doesn't mention the mason jar method, which is far superior in every way to the baking sheet method) but in the recipe for tincture, it says to freeze your decarboxylated weed then crumble the buds. Wait. If it's decarbed, shouldn't it already be ground? And why are we freezing it? The whole recipe for the tincture is made in the freezer and it never says why. I know a lot about making tinctures in general, not just weed tincture (though I've made that as well) and you typically do it at room temperature, or over low heat if you're in a hurry. Heat and time extract properties from plants. Cold will normally inhibit this activity. So if there's some scientific reason that freezing for a few hours works best with weed, I don't know what it is. The book never tells you. It also says that edibles will make you high for 5-10 hours! If someone had no prior experience with edibles, they'd need likely to never try any based on that statement. I have it 3 stars because there is a lot of info in here. It's just not nearly as thorough as it seemed it would be. And it's sometimes contradictory. Though it has given me some good ideas, I'm still gonna need to Google some stuff. ... show more

  • Slightly behind the science.
With Medical MJ being legal, I thought it would be good to educate myself. This book has information I did not know, but it’s presented in a format that seems more for entertainment than edification. Don’t get me wrong, I did learn some things, but this area of research has exploded in the last 5-10 years, so I later realized that it wasn’t current. Useful if you aren’t a science hog, entertaining, but somewhat limited in scope. ... show more

  • For the light headed novice
This is a silly and simple book. I would get something serious and not so lamely silly. Not much info. that is useful. Geared for the 8th grader.

We bought this as a gift but glanced through it before we gave it. My fiance ended up reading the entire thing. It is packed full of neat information and is very colorful and fun to read.
