  • Works well
Item Package Quantity: 1
Bought to rinse solar panels. Leaves the glass streak-free. Makes things easy. The included flexible bit is somewhat janky but I bought a pair of similar connectors that do work well. I’ve only used it once to rinse 30-odd panels and it’s unclear how much life I can get out of one cartridge. I’m sure I’ll eventually discover the answer to that extistential question. ... show more

  • The extra hose suck
Item Package Quantity: 1
So the product does real good as far as not leaving waterspots but the hose is not crimped correctly and leaks from every single connection point. Toss the little 12" hose extension in the trash and voila no more leaks. I just put the canister straight on the hose then the nozzle after it, works great ... show more

  • Pretty good
Item Package Quantity: 1
I like the filter and it does a good job of helping my black truck to not show water spots. The reason for 4 stars is that the small hose attachment is garbage and started shooting water everywhere as soon as I turned the hose on. I just threw that away and screwed the filter directly onto the hose and sprayer and it worked great after that. ... show more

  • Not perfect
Item Package Quantity: 1
This device is ok. I give it a 6 out of 10. Still had some water spots on both cars. Could be that the water in my area is just really hard. Won't buy this again

  • Car still had water spots after using this.....
Item Package Quantity: 1
Bought this to prevent water spots from occurring on my cars after car wash. Didn't do what it was supposed to do, which is to filter water thoroughly. Did a water measurement test and it read 150 PPM which is, no Bueno. Don't waste your money on this. I'm going to have to buy the more expensive water filters from now on. ... show more

  • VERY helpful for washing cars!
Item Package Quantity: 1
Years ago, my parents surprised me by buying me a Mr. Clean AutoDry kit. It came with the water gun, soap and a couple of filters. I used that set up for about 10 years before randomly shelving it. One day I broke it out, saw I was out of filters, went to buy more..... and discovered the product line was discontinued. I refuse to pay scalpers that are selling filters for the water gun, so I got rid of the kit, to the dismay of myself and my family members, who all used to have me wash their vehicles for them. As the years have gone by, we just go to the car wash. However, with my father finishing work on his freshly restored 1968 Z/28 Chevrolet Camaro and driving it around, we again have a need for a lower pressure water cleaning method for the car as he rightfully refuses to hit the car with a high pressure washer or take it through an automated car wash. This inline filter seemed the best avenue to go on, as the Mr. Clean AutoDry line shows no sign of revival. And I am very pleased to announce that this filter works ALMOST as well as the AutoDry gun did! Recently, due to some garage work, I had to leave my car, a 2011 Mazda3, parked outside. A brief, heavy rainstorm left my car completely covered in hard water spots. So I connected this filter to the hose tap, connected a hose to the other end of the filter, and literally just rinsed my car off. No soap, no wipedown, no drying, save for a short drive afterwards. This cleaned most of the water spotting off my car. Some spotting remains, but given I didn't use soap or wipe the car down, I was impressed. Encouraged by this, my father rolled the Camaro out. The car's front end was plastered with insect remains and he wanted to wax the paint. With my father rinsing, soaping, wiping and re-rinsing and me drying, we were able to get his Camaro (which is painted black!) very well cleaned up, with only a few very slight hard water drop stains on the paint. Waxing and polishing easily removed the spots. A crucial detail I forgot to discuss is water hardness. It may just be where we live, but our garden tap water is VERY hard, to the point drinking from a hose is discouraged. In the days of using my Mr. Clean AutoDry gun, one filter would last one to three washes, depending on the size of vehicle I washed and how dirty the vehicle was. So for this filter to remove so much of the minerals and other particles from the water is very impressive, and my father and I are very pleased with the results on our respective cars. So, that's one feature that I can't comment on...yet. I don't know how long this filter will last, given the hardness of our water. And as water conservation is being enforced where I live right now, my father and I will likely limit the use of garden tap water to watering the lawn, and with this filter, for only washing his Camaro when needed. However, unless the filter gives up the ghost very soon, I'll gladly buy another one when this one is used up. ... show more

  • Really does eliminate water spots on my car
Item Package Quantity: 1
RI units by design, chemically remove excess minerals from water. When used, they theoretically should produce only de-mineralized water which when evaporated and dried naturally, should not leave water/mineral spots on my car after washing. Well, I tried it ... and it worked. I washed the car with my well water which has lots of minerals in it and always left my car full of minerals that I then had to manually wipe off ... a real pain in the butt. This time, I rinsed the soap off, and then quickly sprayed the entire car with this RI unit attached to my hose. Then, as a test, I let the water dry naturally. To my pleasant surprise, the water dried completely without spots. The car paint was spotless! No final wiping was needed. I don't know how long it will last but until it runs out of capacity, it works for me. It claims to last at least 40 gallons, which I estimate will be about 20 washings for me. To be effective, you cannot use too much of this water (2 gallons = about 1 minute of spraying my car), or it will run out of capacity fast, but 20 washings will last me at least a year. Not too bad a price for saving me a lot of manual labor drying off my car of mineral spots. So glad it worked. ... show more

  • Got rid of the hard water spots
Item Package Quantity: 1
I connected it as shown without using pressure washer. The little water leak shown in photos has been happening even before I connected it. It’s because of my house pipe actually. Washed my blue escape with bucket and rinsed it with the garden hose that’s connected to the filter. I didn’t even dry it with leaf blower. I just let it dry on its own under the sun (for testing purposes) and almost no water marks left at all. You might see like 5 drops per panel. That’s great considering my car was all hazy and stained before using this filter. ... show more
