These boots seem to be well made and have quality construction and look nice. However, they are water resistant, not waterproof. The listing says that they are because I'm assuming it was translated from Chinese and something was lost in translation. They seem to confuse the terms "waterproof" for "water resistant" and vice versa. Secondly, the lack of speed hooks at the top of the laces is an issue for putting them on and taking them off quickly. They _look_ like speed hooks but they are just metal eyelets. Go figure. *shrug* I have not tested the puncture resistance of the Kevlar soles but I have a hard time believing they are as good as having steel shanks, particularly if you really need to stomp on something. And lastly, the non slip rubber on the soles is nice and sticky but it is also very soft which gives me concerns about how quickly it will wear out. The boots weigh ~3lbs for the pair. ... show more

These KELODON steel toe boots (11black) are very good looking and very comfortable, too, And i found them to fit to size (not too large nor too small.) However, i would judge them as not very waterproof since stepping momentarily into just 2.5inches of water, my foot was immediately getting wet. (refer to photo) I really like the looks of these boots and the fact that they advertise both steel toe protection and also nail puncture protection. But the steel protector is very short - approximately two inches from the tip of the shoe. While this would be enough to protect the toenails from any striking injury, the protection seems a bit too minimal since it protects only the very tip of the shoe. (Refer to photo showing the limit of the steel protector.) And apparently there is no steel shank to give durable protection against puncture injuries. Bottom line is that these are neither certified as industrial worksite safety boots nor should they be considered as such. However they should be excellent for normal handyman work around the house or the farm. These are very comfortable, very good-looking boots but the toe protection and waterproofing could be improved. ... show more
