Haven’t used it in the shower, but it would be less messy at first for a new inexperienced user. :) just be sure to keep your mouth closed while the power is on, when your mout fills up quickly turn it off spit, repeat. If you take it in the shower make sure the charging port is covered by the silicone port cover, included in the box and attached to unit. I do have to fill the water reservoir four times because I clean by quadrant, I use warm water because I have sensitive teeth. This thing cleans so well it gets rid of trapped meat and debris like popcorn husks that are hard to get out, with just flossing. It is an extra step before bed but after a while you get used to it, just like brushing your teeth. I travel with this often and it’s easy to travel with, water flow is strong, kinda noisy but its close to my ears so, it’s probably not that loud. size is great and easy to store next to toothbrush. build quality is sufficient. ... show more
