Features

  • Trusted certifications: Waterdrop G3 reverse osmosis system is certified against NSF/ANSI 58 for TDS reduction and NSF/ANSI 372 certified for lead-free material. Also it has been tested and certified against NSF 42 to reduce chlorine, bad taste and odor. The tankless reverse osmosis system is also certified by the Federal Communications Commission. Besides, it meets the EU Standards and UKCA Standards for safety.
  • 8-stage filtration: Tested by official third-party laboratory (SGS), the reverse osmosis system can effectively reduce TDS, chromium, PFAS, radium, fluoride, arsenic salt, iron, calcium, particles, chloride, chlorine and radioactive substances in your tap water. And our RO water filter system can reduce chemicals such as vinyl chloride, ethylhexyl acrylate, isobutylene, ethylene glycol, according to the reverse osmosis membrane technical manual.
  • Smart display faucet: The tankless reverse osmosis system is built with a smart display faucet. For instance, the TDS monitor tells you the quality of your filtered water, while the filter life tracker shows how soon you need to replace your filter.
  • High capacity, 2:1 low drain ratio: As an upgraded reverse osmosis system, this reverse osmosis water system produces 600 gallons of filtered water per day. By its low drain ratio, this system can produce only one cup of waste water for every two cups of pure water produced. Furthermore, with a fast and stable water flow rate, this RO system fills a 8 oz cup of water in 8 seconds, which is ideal for drinking and washing vegetables.
  • Tankless design: Waterdrop G3 reverse osmosis system has a stylish look. This tankless design saves 70% under sink space. You can change a filter in 3 seconds without moving the system or using any tools. Note: This reverse osmosis system requires under-sink electricity.

  • Well Designed, East to Install, Great Tasting Water
Color: White Size: 600 GPD
We live by the sea in an old community in an area with very high particulates in the water system. The water also smells like chlorine. We have always bought bottled water, but with the Pandemic, our grocery load started to become unmanageable as we cut down on the number of trips we made to the store. We started to drink the tap water and almost immediately decided it was time to try out a water filter. RESEARCH I did a lot of investigation, and by a long shot, the WaterDrop products represent the best designs on the market: - the forward-facing filters are as easy to replace as a refrigerator filter. - the tankless design means you don't lose much undersink space (Image1) - the tankless design also means there's no opportunity for bacteria to grow in the holding tank - the smart faucet (the led ring around the base) conveys the state of the filters - blue is good, yellow means you're due for a change and red means you should change a filter immediately - the WD-G3 display not only tells you the state of the water in Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), but also shows you the state of each of the filters (blue/yellow/red) so you know which one to order. - the brushed nickel finish matches our faucet and looks great (Image 1) - the 12 second time-to-fill an 8 oz glass is good Everything about this unit screams "quality". The instructions are simple and easy to follow. The 800 number is listed on the cover of the installation guide. Each part feels solid and well-made. INSTALLATION There is one challenge that most homeowners will probably face to using this unit -- it requires power under the sink. I had a socket under my sink that the garbage disposal was plugged into. I assumed (you can see where this is going!) that as is traditional, the upper socket was wired to the disposal switch and the lower was always hot. Unfortunately, living in an older home, this was not the case, so I had to replace the socket with a split/switched/always hot one. Our garbage disposal unit is huge, and our sink is in the corner of the kitches with one small door, so it needed to be removed to facilitate the install. Between the disposal deinstall/reinstall and and the rewiring job, installation took me all day. HOWEVER - The actual installation of the Waterdrop unit was approximately 40 minutes of this, so plan accordingly. I had one minor issue with the waste pipe connection, which is designed for 1.5" pipe (we have 2" pipes, but the pipe coming out of the garbage disposal was 1.5" with just enough space to connect the waste line). All of the lines are thoughtfully unique - there are two white lines, but of different sizes (one goes from the water source, one goes to the spigot) and the waste water is red, so you can't get confused. The connections are all pretty easy, although you should pay attention to the "Push the locking ring" instructions so you don't accidentally break one of the shipping plugs when removing them. The locking ring collars are a bit fussy and require a needle nose pliers to install. Other than my own personal challenges of a small under-sink space and the electrical issue, the installation was a breeze. WATER QUALITY So, the big question -- does it work? The answer is YES! See the second the image. I used an independent water meter to measure the TDS. On a sample from a bathroom spigot I got 99. This is pretty typical, we run around 90 to 120. Measuring the water from the filtering system shows 12. The reading on the front of the unit showed in the mid 70's during startup, but now shows 5. Given the somewhat wonky nature of water testing, I'm good with these numbers even though they differ slightly. The WD-G3 reduced the TDS in our water by an order of magnitude. This is exactly what you would expect from an RO system that should filter out about 90% of all TDS. This translates to a better tasting, safer glass of water, which it produces in about 12 seconds (8 oz). Not only does the water taste better, our coffee and anything else we used water in also tastes better. While the difference is not as evident at room temperature, you can really tell the difference in a side-to-side test of chilled water. We tested tap vs filtered vs Poland Spring bottled. At room temperature, they are all pretty much the same, with Poland Spring being slightly saltier. We tested the TDS on Poland Spring and it was at 41, confirming that there's some mineralization going on there. In chilled form, the filtered tasted the best, with Poland spring second and the unfiltered third. (And yes, to answer your question, my wife is now laughing at me because of my obsession with metrics and blind taste tests) FILTER REPLACEMENT/CUSTOMER SERVICE As some other reviewers have notes, the "CF" filter seems to be in very short supply and cannot even be purchased on the Waterdrop site. I contacted Waterdrop customer service who responded (on a weekend!) that the filters will be back in stock at the end of this month. SUMMARY Pros: - Does what it says, reduces TDS by a factor of 9-10 - Produces clear, clean water - Interface is intelligent and intuitive - Tankless design saves space and eliminates post-filter bacteria issues - Looks great - Responsive customer service Cons: - Requires un-switched power under the sink - The CF Filter replacement is currently unavailable. Recommendation: The CF shortage is worrying, hopefully Waterdrop will be able to solve this issue. It's a Pandemic so I'm willing to give them some leeway in supply chain challenges. I decided to take the plunge anyway and given the alternatives, this is still the best unit on the market. ... show more

This is a great product and has great tasting water. My only complaint is that it is a little noisy but, it hasn't bothered me or my family. The install was easy and it looks nice, and works really well.

  • Great Customer Service, Space Saving Design, 7-Stage RO, Great Tasting Water!
Color: White Size: 600 GPD
My family have been getting our drinking water from a local coin-op vending machine for the past 32 years! We just completely remodeled our kitchen, and one very important addition is to filter our own water. 3 decades of carrying 5-gallon water bottles up and down the car and my steps is enough, time for a change. But will it taste good? That is the biggest question. After drinking the same water for 32 years, I am used to it, and yes, I can tell the difference in a blind test. So here is my honest report after using it for 1 month. 1- "Taste" is very subjective, so let me describe the "taste" as careful as I can. First of all, it does not taste like tap water. It does not taste like water from a 1-stage refrigerator dispenser. It does not taste like cooled boiled water. There is not hint of chlorine, metal, or anything chemical... The RO coin-op vending machine I've been getting my water from is a very very close match. Of course, that commercial RO machine is filtered differently in a plant. Different filter, different water source, so I know I will not get 100% match, but Waterdrop is extremely close. It does not have a "dull" taste like water that has been stored inside a container. It reminds me of bottled water like Dasani or Arrowhead. The taste does not "bother" me, it is immediately "forgetful" because it is just "water". I brew coffee, tea, make ice cubes with it, and make my cocktail with the ice cubes. Completely satisfied! "Taste" was the ONLY question that I cannot get a quantifiable answer when I was researching RO units. Purchasing Waterdrop was a huge gamble purely based on reviews and Youtube videos and I am so happy it worked out! Now on to other features- 2- The flow of the water is pretty fast. My daily cup is a 24-oz tumbler from Starbucks. I always hear how slow these water filter outputs water. After seeing and using it for one month, it is not that slow. I don't stand there and watch it drip, the water comes out pretty fast to fill my cup. 3- You can feed the filtered water into another dispenser like a refrigerator. I feed it to an Insinkerator hot water unit with its own cold/hot faucet. Insinkerator's plumbing is a bit confusing, especially with the hot/cold faucet unit, so I asked me contractor to do the cross connection. Waterdrop RO by itself is extremely easy to install. I pretty much have put everything together under 20 minutes, drilled the drain hole, connected to my water source... 4- The Waterdrop RO unit has a built-in TDS meter. Mine reads 14-16 steady. I verified this with my own TDS meter. 5- Elegant appearance. The filter tubes is very easy install, it has a sci-fi vibe to the entire white appearance. 6- REMEMBER- the machine itself auto flushes on 1st run for 5 minutes. After that, I had to dispense water for nearly 30 minutes until the TDS reading shows anything other than 001. Lastly CUSTOMER SERVICE- great customer service. My unit had a slight issue with the TDS readout. So I first emailed Waterdrop, and received a response right away from Mia. The next day, I called and spoke to Jessica about this issue. She right away got some troubleshooting tips from the engineers, and called me back. In the end, they sent a new unit to me, and I received on the last day of 2019! Since they are located not far away from me, I will be returning the unit this week. Thank you ladies for helping me out around Christmas!!! ... show more
