I decided to add this to my G3P600 to add another level of peace of mind in using the filtered water in my CPAP machine. To my surprise it also improved overall water quality. The one con is that water flow rate is restricted slightly. Before adding the UV light my unit would fill 1 gal jug of water in 1 1/2mins. After adding the UV light the time went to 2 mins. Not a big deal considering the added quality and peace of mind. After doing personal water quality tests on my local tap, RO water, store bought drinking, and distilled water, the only thing purer than my current WaterDrop RO water is store bought distilled. Wait for a sale at WaterDrop and pick the UV light up for around $100. ... show more

I really enjoy this. It's so nice to have clean water everywhere I go. I use it with the water drop removable filter in a Winnebago van. In terms of setup, well, anything water related in a van is a nightmare. RVs don't use standard fittings, so it takes a great amount of patience to figure it all out. My best recommendation is to just break everything down to the pex level in the RV and configure from there. Beyond that, you need to a faucet that restricts the flow rate in order for it to work. I purchased the manufacturer's faucet and it's also very nice. The device lights up for added confidence when I'm on the road. The manufacturer should really make an RV version b/c they're missing a large segment of the market. The water drop filters are so easy. This is a nice addition. ... show more

I was a little skeptical of the UV effectiveness from LED's. I installed this as part of a 5 stage filter to use for off-grid camping. I conducted some testing using raw water from a flood containment pond, and did bacteria cultures for 3 different samples: Unfiltered, Filtered, and Filtered +UV treatment. The only sample that didn't culture any bacteria was the sample that was filtered and treated with this. Its very effective, just be careful to not exceed the maximum flow rate or the water will not have sufficient exposure time. This runs on 24V DC, and I was able to power it with a Lifepo4 battery and 12 to 24V DC step-up converter. ... show more

Great product and easy to use...It only turns on when the water is running through it, so you will not be replacing expense, clumsy bulbs every 9-12 months. I am so glad they came out with a LED version ...it's makes this system almost maintenance free.
