    • Check your softener for compatibility but this was perfect
Softener was filled with water not draining so I needed a new gasket this was just easier than taking it all apart, so this installed with the clip and 2 screw in waterlines and forced a cycle and it SLOWLY drained. Took all of about 8 hours to finally drain and return to normal operation.

Our 10+ year Kenmore water softener wasn't working. We called someone out to fix it but the fix only lasted a day. Not ready to buy a new softener just yet, I did some research. I watched a bunch of videos and read several articles all suggesting it could be the venturi valve. So I took a chance and ordered this one in hopes that it would save us from the bigger purchase. It worked!! I would recommend reading your manual and making sure everything connects well. One of the little rubber pieces inside was turned the wrong way and I had to change that around.
