I bought this to use when we go camping. Our water jugs always leak when you put them on their side to use their spigot and they weight so much it's hard for my wife to tilt them down or back up when she's done getting water out of them. Now we'll just set this on top of our water jug and press the button - no more tilting! We're not camping again for a month, so we did a test run and this pump has earned my wife's seal of approval. I might even make a simple mount and extend the hose so I can leave the water jug on the ground while the pump is on the camping table. I do have 1 concern - when I opened the package, the water house was 'kinked' multiple times from where they folded it - see picture. The kinks came out and the pump works great, but I'm concerned it may kink at these spots again under suction as the hose gets old. They really should have rolled the hose rather than folding it. ... show more

I hate wasting bottles of water so recently got a pair of 5 gallon jugs for emergency use. It just so happens that a hurricane hit my area, and with this pump attached to a jug I was able to survive the boil water noticed from the power outage without drowning in plastic bottles. The initial charge on the pump lasted 3 days of use in a household of 4 people. It was easy to set up, though a bit hard to clean all of the components. My only complaints are the low flowrate, which is only a bit slower than the water function on my refrigerator. I also would like if the pump fixed to the top of the 5 gallon jug snuggly. It hasn't fallen off, but I would like to be able to secure it to the bottle. ... show more

to be fair, I don't have other similar pumps to say this one is louder than it should be. I only know it's loud. The main thing for me is that it's still using one of those antique micro USB plugs for charging. That's very disappointing. Let's move on from micro USB please!
