    • It’s Easy to Use and Is Effective, Just Take Time Selecting the Correct Size Dies
This is a solid case press for re-securing snap-on watch backs. Changing watch batteries yourself can save a lot of money, and screw-on backs are easy to service, but when it comes to snap-on backs it's a whole different world and this tool is almost necessary for those stubborn watches that don't want to go. I used to push the backs in by hand, but there was always a fear of cracking the front crystal because of how much force was needed. With this press the fear isn't there because it's much more controlled and is the proper way of doing it. Doing it by hand was so much work, but all that needs to be done with this press is selecting the right dies for your watch. Once you have it you'll wonder how you ever did the stubborn watched without one. Simple use guidelines are to choose a bottom die large enough so the watch is supported on the front of the case, and there is no contact with the crystal. The top die should be large enough to apply even pressure around the perimeter of the case back. Be aware of O-rings or other seals before pressing the back in. Never even knew that this existed. I have a few watches, most have them have screw on backs but one watch that was given to me as a gift has the snap on back. I've had the battery replaced many times but in the past 8+ years I have been either wearing my smart watch or no watch. I decided that I would give this tool a try and see if I can get the battery removed from this particular watch. The tool itself is made of metal and the dies are made of hard plastic. I think it is good quality and should last a long time. Only thing missing is a case to store this in but not a big deal, I'll buy a case for this so I don't loose any parts. The hardest part is removing the back from my watch as it has been worn down after 20+ years of replacing the battery. I would highly recommend getting a pair of those knife protection gloves so you don't jab your hand. Also have an anti slip mat to protect your watch, the work surface and reduce the chance of the watch sliding all over the place. Once the back is off you will have access to the battery and the inside of the watch. When you are done and want to put the watch back, make sure to follow the instructions for measuring which dies to use. Apply enough pressure to have the watch back snap back into place. Was beneficial for my needs and can be a great tool if you want to replace your own watch battery. Will not work for watches that have a twist back. ... show more

The other day I took my vintage watch to have the battery replaced, but after they finished they told me they were unable to reseal the watch. I was stunned, perplexed that a watch store would not have a method to solev this. I found out that these watch clamps existed just for this reason, so I picked this up when I noticed it available. This was crazy easy to use, in fact my fiancé did it herself. Attach the right size boot, give it a good squeeze, and snap, it's done! It was that easy. I cannot believe I want to a watch battery shop which didn't have one of these. Next time, I'll be replacing my own battery, it's a lot cheaper. ... show more
