Use this to replace the outer drum seal on my LG front load washer I've done it several times without a tool and it took me over an hour each time with this tool it took me about 20 minutes it's built fairly solid and I think it's okay for occasional use not sure about long-term regular usage though My only complaint would be that it had some notches in it so the tool didn't slide out so easily when you're trying to open it up. ... show more

Like other reviews mentioned, the tips are kind of large, so I had to use them in the loops on the wire, rather than the loops at the ends of the spring itself. Didn’t stretch my washing machine’s spring quite far enough, but it was just enough that two people could force it on the rest of the way. I am so glad I purchased this tool for the spring on my Washer. This one expands to 5". I was looking at another tool that only expands 4". I needed and used 4 1/2 to 5" to get the spring back on. Had I purchased the small one it wouldn't have worked.
