It did the trick, but I am not a huge fan of the clamp bending long before it is tight enough. Be sure and use high-temp lock nuts (not included) with washers (also not included!). There are better universal clamp hangers out there, but this one does indeed serve its purpose for the price. The item is easy to install and can be used in different locations or mounting positions. The only drawback if it is mounted in a twisted setting the metal plate where it was riveted together has a tendency to cut thru the material that holds the two pieces together. you can see on the picture of the hanger as to what the potential problem area is. Easy to instal. Rubber ripped in less than a month use. And I installed 5 of them. Not safe not worth it. Dont buy.

    • Not China's best work
Installed on 73 Chevrolet C30 with a 383 V8. I used 2 of these to hold up the rear of the exhaust pipes. After about a month one broke the steel mounting strap and the other tore off at the rubber bushing. I made sure not to put too much stress on the hangers but it didn't matter. The clamp ends hold on like there's no tomorrow as they are still attached to the pipes. I tried to rehang them and they broke again after another few weeks. The wire coat hangers I put on as a band aid fix are holding up better than these. I recommend not wasting money on these :( ... show more
