My desk arrived in close to perfect condition (very very small scuff on the top but not very noticeable). Large and heavy box….kind of awkward to lift by yourself because of the size of the box. Assembly - overall, assembly was a breeze. I assembled it myself so it did take me a while but that’s in part because I was being extra careful to not mess it up lol. The only tool you need that isn’t included is a phillips head screwdriver. All of the pre-drilled holes were perfect and fit so nicely. All hardware is included - they also include a bag of “spare hardware”, and sliders for the bottoms of the legs so it doesn’t scratch your floor. One big perk is the use of wooden dowels for extra support next to the screwed in parts. I was impressed with that extra detail which makes a huge difference for overall sturdiness and quality. Nice and sturdy, beautiful design, the faux marble top is very pretty. The quality definitely exceeds my expectations. I am so happy with this purchase! ... show more

This desk is great! I was a little nervous after reading other reviews but I would buy it again tomorrow. It was a bit of a challenge to put together, but not half as bad as the reviews. It’s sturdy and solid and looks like an expensive piece of furniture. It’s not real wood (pressboard) but you can’t beat it for the price. The faux marble top looks nice too. I bought it for my daughter's bedroom, due to the pandemic she is doing all her college courses online and she needed a desk. This one is simply perfect. It's a joy to look at, not too bulky but with plenty of space for laptop, books and school stuff. Although this desk is nice and made of quality materials for the price, it was quite difficult to assemble. There definitely could have been a bit more pre-assembly and still have fit in the same size box. It is impossible to do alone. You WILL need a second person due to the awkward assembly process. Our box was also missing the wooden dowels that are supposed to assist the assembly process. We had to go to the store to get some, which of course weren’t exactly the correct size but they did what we needed. The most frustrating part of the whole assembly was that the holes that were drilled into the drawer weren’t spaced properly for the including hardware! They are too close to the correct placement for me to drill a hole that will work without creating a space that’s way to big to hold the screw (see picture). I am going to have to try to find something else that will work. ... show more
