Repainting and refreshing my home. Decided on the color scheme of gray/white trim. Needed a white bookshelf to place in the hallway. This was the perfect height, width, & color. It was super easy to put it together. I had no issues. It took me about 45 minutes whereas the instructions cites 30 minutes. I had my husband help me place the top of the shelf onto the bottom. There were no issues of the holes lining up perfectly, the color was perfect as well as the material. The boards and other materials weren’t flimsy or warped. The plastic pieces were good too. It’s very sturdy and looks great. It wasn’t heavy either. I had no problem moving it to its new home. I initially used a Phillips head; however, I changed to the electric drill. It went much faster and the screws were tighter. I recommend this shelf for the ease of putting it together, the look of the finished product, the size, and the price. ... show more

I bought 5 of these to create a bookshelf wall. The first 4 units were easy to assemble. All parts included (no extras) and the material was clean, straight, and undamaged. All holes aligned perfectly. Until the 5th unit. Yikes. One broken screw could not be used and I didn't have the same size at home so had to figure most strategic place to miss a screw. Then the stabilizing bolt lock broke. I'm not that strong but it just shattered. Then I noticed a big scratch in the bottom support piece which of course was on the front facing side. Pros: Quick and easy assembly Versatile layout, the shelf can sit vertically or horizontally Back panel is thick and slides into grooves instead of being nailed on Cons: Arrived dirty and damaged Cheep material Cubbies aren't basket friendly I bought this to put on a closet shelf for storage in my office. The size was good for what I was looking for (for anyone saying they were disappointed in the size, the dimensions are given both in the description and on a photo, so you shouldn't be surprised at all). It allows storage of papers and small office items and leaves room on either side for larger books/albums or other items. I was also looking for something that would allow for my ipad to be set up for when I'm using the treadmill which I keep in the closet. This fit that bill, but I wish it was a little better thought out. From delivery to installation on the closet shelf it will call home, it took me about 45 minutes to finish on my own. It's not hard and if you've ever put together a piece of furniture you really don't need the instructions at all. I installed it horizontally, which was another huge perk of this particular piece. The piece feels sturdy, although I did notice the wood under the vaneer is VERY cheep, so time will tell on that one. It also came both dirty and damaged. There was a small dent in one piece of wood. Luckily that piece goes in the back, so nobody will ever see it. I was surprised at how dirty it was though. Not the normal sawdust and packing material dirty, but won't wipe off black grimy scuffed dirty. I realize this is an inexpensive piece, but I've put together a lot of cheep furniture that was better thought out than this. The fact that you can't countersink the screws and they only give you stickers to cover them sucks. You can see every screw and they do stick out, so don't put anything against them that you don't want dented or scratched. The brackets they give you to put in the back corners are fine, but there are no pilot holes, so I decided to skip that step. For my use, the unit will be sturdy enough without them. Also, when I took the labels off, it took some of the finish off. Not enough to be noticeable when it's in place, but enough to be annoyed at the quality. I did like that the back panel was a thicker material that slid in instead of the flimsy cardboard you nail on, so two thumbs up there. The biggest disappointment is the size of the cubbies. I guess I should have done my research and realized there are no baskets that will fit the cubes well. An extra 1 1/2" in length and width would have allowed any small cloth cube basket to fit. I have a couple of ideas that might work ok, but that was disappointing and has taken longer than it should to come up with storage ideas. Overall, it's not bad for the price, especially for my use where it's only being used for storage in a closet and nobody will see it but me, but a little extra care from the manufacturer would have made it a 5 star item. ... show more

It fits my manga really well!! I’ve had this bookshelf for at least 2 years now! The bookshelf itself isn’t heavy. It’s pretty easy to install you just need a few items all though I myself couldn’t install it without my friends help! I got the color white in the bookshelf and it was really perfect! I used this for my manga and it fits really well I might have to buy a second one or buy a bigger one but the back is pretty weak 😊. ... show more
