As you'll see in the photos, all three wood boards were damaged upon arrival. not only that, but some of the metal frame was poking out of the shipping cardboard by over 6 inches upon arrival. No word back from seller; just want some actually undamaged boards so I can get what I paid for

I was looking for a low bookcase/stand that could accommodate a 4 foot grow light, and this fit the bill. The price was significantly less than what I had found with other sellers AND they ship to Alaska for free (VERY uncommon with furniture items like this). Kudos to Amazon for this. I received the package quickly, and the box was in perfect condition. All parts were there, and in 100% good condition. I was able to assemble this by myself in 40 minutes. Everything fit together perfectly - screw holes all line up exactly, etc. The shelf boards are not "real" wood but they aren't going to be for a shelf in this price range. Since I had set up a box of grass for my cat to sleep on the second half of my L-shape desk, I needed more storage. I already had a tall bookshelf, so I was looking for a long but short shelf, which fit the bill. It was fairly easy to put together, so long as you pay attention to which direction the shelf holders are going. My only issue was that it was not offered in an Espresso color, so I had to stain it. It except the walnut was a veneer, which didn't want to accept the stain. Not a real issue; it just meant a little more work to rough it up a bit and a lot more time to wait for multiple layers of stain to dry. But you can see the darker finish that fits in. The size is great for me, allowing me more plant space. As you can see in the image, the Walker Edison 2 Shelf Industrial Wood Metal Bookcase allows for a layered feel for the plants, books, and tech in my office. It is very sturdy, and I double the books since it is not directly against the wall. I love this shelf. My only issue is a lot of other reviews mentioned damaged boards and I risked it and ordered anyway. All three of my shelves had damage on the same corner. I'm not sure if that was from delivery from the manufacturer to Amazon or from Amazon to my door. I was able to point all the shelves toward the back and you aren't able to see the damage. It took my husband and I about 20 minutes to screw this together; it's definitely easier with two people. The metal pieces are heavy and they feel sturdy. You dont need any extra tools to put this together. It comes with everything which was great since we just moved. Since the corners were damaged we did have to force the boards in but they aren't going anywhere. They are a snug fit. This shelf looks expensive and is heavy when it's all put together. I've included a photo of it stuffed with all my crap :D. I'll also take a close up of the grain. You can see it appears to look like real wood. I'm impressed! Overall this is a great shelf for the price I paid. I wouldnt pay over $189 for it though. ... show more

I love the way it looks but I do have one concern... once it was all put together and I went to push it up against the wall, I noticed 2 of the top screws had started coming out again somehow. At any rate, I tightened them back up and haven't had issues since. Holds my 55" tv on it just fine. Originally intended to put a desk mount on it so I could mount my tv and be able to swivel it.. however I feel like that would just make it topple over. Ad does say each shelf can hold a considerable amount of weight, not sure that is true.. but like I said, I still love it.. it fits my needs pretty well ... show more

My overall rating is zero stars, but I had to give one star in order to submit my review. I was extremely disappointed in this console table. I read every word of the description and knew it was manufactured wood, however I expected the quality to be much better. I assembled the table with hopes that it would look presentable upon completion, but no, it is still a bad wood replication. Unfortunately, even if I took the table apart and packed it back up, I am unable to carry the 60 lb box from my home to my vehicle in order to return it - the main reason I shop online. I have corresponded with the company and they offered a $25.00 refund, but I do not believe $25 is sufficient compensation for a $178.00 purchase. The table has been moved to an outdoor storage building as I will not be using it in my home. I would not recommend purchasing this table unless your decor includes cheap looking furniture. ... show more
