I installed these on a 1999 Toyota Camry Solara 2dr. I had the rotors turned at a machine shop. Months later, they continue to make noise when first applying or releasing the brake pedal. I also put ThermoQuiets on a 2003 Dodge Dakota and I am having the same or worse problem with that vehicle. It's so bad I'm thinking about buying another brand of pad just to get rid of the noise. Until now Wagner's Thermoquiet line of pads always treated me well. I used them on anything that I was working on and recommended them to anyone that asked. But it is clear that they have given up on making the quality that I used to expect. I have had good luck with a set of Bosch Quiet cast pads recently. But I have only installed one set. So I can't make a recommendation at this point. The only pro to buying these over some of the no-name brands is that they include the hardware kit. More and more of the off brands refuse to include the hardware. They want to sell you the hardware separately. (Bosch also includes the hardware and costs about the same.) ... show more

These pads are probably fine, but after seeing them, I decided to stick with Wearever Platinum Ceramic pads; you'll recognize these and similar premium level pads from the diagonal slot. The Platinum pads put considerably more pad area on the disk, at least starting out. The Wagner pads have a large taper, so the pad contact area is less starting out, and it increases gradually as they wear. To me, less contact area equals less braking effectiveness, but Wagner is welcome to argue otherwise. Because we got about 60K miles in suburban driving with virtually no scoring on the disks from the last set of Wearever Platinum, I re-thought and decided to stay with those rather than saving a few bucks with the Wagner Quikstops. I am adding one star because they do come with hardware - kudos for that Wagner! ... show more
