I just laid out this fabric over a garden area and it seems like heavy enough quality that it will last for several years (I hope!) It had some wrinkles after pounding in the stakes, but after the sun shined on it, it tightened up and laid flat.

The stuff is great. I ran out and went to the local hardware store and got the nicest stuff they had. It was not even close to the quality this was so I take the hardware stuff back and waited the week to get this product. It’s worth it.

Update I noticed some of the grass is growing through the material within a month. That is why I dropped the rating to 4 Star. I bought 4 of these and I have a bad feeling after all the money and the effort I spent on my backyard it might back fire I bought one and after use. I bought 2 more due to the good quality of this product. The crap I bought from Home Depot lasted one year. Get good stuff at the start because it is really difficult to replace once the landscaping material above it ... show more

This is a great looking product. It is much thicker than landscape tarp sold in big box home improvement stores. Adore the lines running parallel down the tarp. Will be using 8 gauge, 6" long staples to hold both tarp and artificial grass down. Got this width to match my "custom" size artificial grass size: 3' wide x 53' long ( to be our pathway from street to back door and deck). Rest of it will be taped with a larger area's artificial grass size layed over it. ... show more

I am very, very disappointed with this product! I have ordered two rolls of this landscaping fabric to rework an area in my yard that had existing plants, shrubs, day lilies .... a large area that had existing fabric that had been in place for over 25 years and had a buildup of decay and weeds had overtaken. I removed the weeds, dirt build up and old fabric. The plants, shrubs, and day lilies remained in place! I spent numerous hours placing this new fabric that had boosted a 20-year life. I crosscut openings and pull the plants through the holes and anchored down this new fabric and was happy with the fact that my landscaped area would be protected and weed free for many years I was so proud of my efforts!! Well, the rest of the story is this fabric did not do what it was advertised to do... Instead of years of protection that I was anticipating the area is already covered with weeds ...not even four months of weed free coverage. It seems that the fabric had more needle point material than plastic that only retained moisture and allowed the weeds to grow and penetrate the fabric. Please be aware of my experience and think twice about using this product... now I have to clean up the mess and spend many hours again placing landscaping fabric that works! I wish someone from the manufacturer of this product would come and help with this headache of a redo! Fat chance of that happening... I guess its buyer beware!!! ... show more
