It controls 26 listed lawn diseases, including brown patch, stem & stripe rust, red thread, powdery mildew, necrotic ring spot, and pink patch. Scotts® DiseaseEx™ Lawn Fungicide starts to work within 24 hours of application, and continues to control diseases up to 4 weeks. We recommend using a Scotts® spreader to apply this product. For Scotts® broadcast/rotary spreaders, use a setting of 2 ¼ for the preventative rate or 3 ¾ for the curative rate. For Scotts® drop spreaders, use a setting of 4 for the preventative rate or 5 ½ for the curative rate. For Scotts® Wizz, use a setting of 3 ¼ for the preventative rate or 4 for the curative rate. For best results, begin applications prior to disease symptoms, or when conditions are favorable for disease. It can be applied after seeding or at seed germination. The product may be reapplied at 14-28 day intervals. This bundle includes two 10 lb. bags of Scotts® DiseaseEx™ Lawn Fungicide.

I had one bag (5K sq. ft.) but I'm afraid I only had enough for a portion of my front yard so I selectively spread it. I followed the spreading instructions using the handheld Scott's Whizz therefore I gave 1-Star for value. Scott's advertising 5,000 sq. ft. is bogus at best, it wasn't even close. 4 bags may get the job done. I previously spread two bags in my back & side yards and barely made it. However, the results proved to be very good. After plenty of very dry weather we finally got some rain and the treated lawn is coming back, the brown spots, some severe, are filling in nicely. The lawn is a Kentucky Bluegrass & Tall Fescue blend. The front yard, which I also watered but went untreated, is not coming back as fast even with some heavy rain. This product is moderately priced but when you consider the spreading distance I discussed above it rises exponentially. I live in the south and have centipede grass. Hot & humid a lot. We get these 4-8 foot dead circles in our yards. Once I found this product, thought I'd give it a try. Applied as directed and did it again 15 days later. It worked. Started seeing a difference in a month. Centipede is hard to start by seed, so it took a while for that.
