My new house has a huge pantry, so I thought I'd pick up some containers to store the cereal properly. These containers are perfect for a family size box of cereal. They're great for people who eat the same kind all the time, so you can keep refilling the container. You don't have to worry about all those boxes that are open. Or even worse multiple boxes that are open. And you don't have to worry about that torn bag inside of the box that will never close properly. I highly recommend these containers. In case you are someone who doesn't read directions for stuff like this, I will tell you that I am lucky! I was about to put the containers and lids into the dishwasher. I accidentally knocked the instructions on how to clean them onto the floor. I picked it up and actually read the instructions. Lo and behold!!! The containers can go into the dishwasher, but the lids can't. Phew! I lucked out on that one! That being said, these containers are fantastic!!! ... show more

I got these to replace my oval top Sterilite ones - wanted them to sit closer on the shelf and take up a less weird footprint on the shelf. They are a good inch or so shorter than the ones I had which means they'll hold less - the old ones could a small bag of the bagged cereal or a large box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch - I estimate this size closer to the smallest box of cereal. ... show more

The lid is the only area that can be a little hard, mainly around the pour lid. It is easy to use and fits well on the small shelves in the pantry of my camper.
