Relatively clean when first arriving but of course took a day to clean off fully. Was slightly disappointed by a single large piece until I realized what u could make out of it. All pieces fit together perfectly and I consider this a great product. Got a good spread of sizes, 2 large chunks that I ended up splitting into multiple pieces. A couple longer/slender rocks that are awesome, some mid sized with great texture, and some smaller pieces along with the gravel that I assume built up over transit. I ordered the 18lb option. The rock was very nice and looks great in our aquarium. I've used Dragon Stone in the past so, I knew it was going to be pretty dirty so, I used my hose outside to get the caked in dirt out. In my picture it's the stone from the middle to the right. Our aquarium is a 65 tall to give reference. Also, I bought the "Used Good" option and am glad I did. I saved a bunch of money. ... show more

Rocks were shipped in a box with less than sufficient packaging. The rocks weren’t damaged but there were crumbles at the bottom. Decent selection of sizes that can be modified with a hammer and chisel. Make sure to wash the clay particles out thoroughly as they will cloud up the water.

I made my first ever terrarium with the dragon stone. I used only a small portion for this. It was easy to clean, easy to break down, and beautiful orange and gold tones on some pieces.

I feel like most of these were broken. Lots of small pieces, dust and pebbles. My hands are not large by any means. 18 lbs, I expected at least a few decent size pieces. Honestly the box feels really light. Just not impressed at all.

I used the 44 pound selection for my 75gallon tank, there was more then enough rocks in there for what I was going for, the dragon stone did came really dirty in this red dust and the holes of the rock had this red clay, I simply ran each rock through the water till the water started coming out clear, ill tell u this now your aren’t gonna get all the clay out which is totally fine don’t stress over it, I didn’t either. I filled my tank up with everything in it and It wasn’t cloudy at all. Essentially Dragon rock is actually composed of clay, silt minerals, and organic matter that has been compressed by various geographical processes to form a sedimentary stone. ... show more

Was going to return this as i was looking forward for some big pcs to furnish my 75g, but kept it for my smaller tanks instead. Was really bummed out as i weighed out 11 lbs of rubbish tiny broken rocks. WAS hoping for the larger pcs that were in the deception. 30lbs was in the 4-7" range so at least i got that and the rest were 3" i made peace with this by the quantity price. THe sharp and inhospitable looking small pcs i used in my hospital tank converting it into a quasi S&M setup , since its going to be hot 86F and full of chemicals that can kill. So my new and sick fish will try to get well quick and stay healthy and remember the Shangri la that they came from! sick fish go to MORDOR! ... show more
