I installed these lights on my new deck with 4x4 vinyl posts. Just takes a couple of minutes to install for each post. You can set each light to bright white or soft white with a little switch in the base. The lights come on at dusk and stay on throughout the whole night. Would have cost 100’s to install low voltage lights, and probably at least 1/2 day to do it. For less than $80 and less than 15 minutes, I installed 8 of these lights. I don't think it lasts the night but it's definitely bright throughout my bed time. Direct sunlight works best. May have to sand off the post before fitting it on. I recommend using calk to protect the screws from rust if you don't plan on moving it anytime soon...or just use better screws. Overall, beautiful design and output. ... show more

So, I took a shot with these fence post lights, and it’s a bit of a mixed bag. They do the job, sure, but they do come across as rather flimsy. That said, they surprised me by standing up to some serious rainstorms. Kudos for resilience!
