Far from a perfect fit. The main intake tube barely reached to where it needed to at the MAF. The breather tube that it came with was way too short. I ended up just connecting it to the stock breather hose. It looks great installed and definitely added some response to the throttle so it is definitely worth getting. I installed it in about ten minutes but I have done several intakes over the year so it was really easy for me. A couple hose clamps, 4 bolts and it the stock box pops right out. Not all holes aligned up properly on the Volant intake box but 3 out of 4 was good enough. Overall it is worth the money when it comes to fuel mileage increase and throttle response. ... show more

Thesis brand is capable of good proven power gaining results. But, as far as install. This thing fits worse then my off brand eBay intake made of heating duct that would fall apart once a week. Yall should be ashamed of this. The fitment and parts provided are truly trash. The hard plastic the intake is made of squeezes straight to the throttle body.... not a good idea. Same with the breather port for the valve cover, that hose provided is 1/4inch too small... It's not a tight fit, which let's dust and water else fly right In. The 4 holes to mount where the factory intake box floor was mounted too that the filter house bolts too, yea only could use 2 of the 4 bolts because of alignment, at most I could get 3 bolts In, and it was cocked sideways. Next is the fitment between the maf, the filter, and the tube. Nothing is flush, it's all angled and barely hanging on. Absolutly terrible. Pay good money for products that fit like that, and then not include any sort of directions? Yall are wrong. ... show more

Been using K&N products for years and decided to go with this Volant 15253 setup. Looks and sounds great and performance is immediately noticeable. Loving the enclosed set-up over the outside K&N version. Both are quality but Volant is my new #1.

Instructions aren’t great. The pictures didn’t match my truck but your can figure it out. And you reuse the rubber connector from the air box to the mass air. She screams now. Love the clear top to see the air filter. That’s at least another 1HP. End effect performs and sound great

Installed on my 2007 Yukon XL SLT 5.3 ltr engine. The unit improved gas mileage overall (about 1.5 miles per gal), increased power was noticeable on acceleration, and smoother sounding engine. I would recommend the unit for anyone that want a clean look and you do not have the added expense of buying air filters every 10,000 miles.
