good sound for karoake is the only thing good about this amp. con: 1. it's manual physical power button so no remote no automation u have to physically turn off every time. 2. its high power great quality sound but high noise in the background too if microphone not in use. 3. i recommend this guy cause at the price range it's the best i can find so far i purchase 3 of same unit for my self and two friends, 2 out of 3 already break with different problem, fail rate is very high. 4. only allow two speaker channel, when u have 4 speakers don't bother, it's too noise to have two speaker per channel. 5. warranty don't exist, i email support in both cases and so far i didn't got any response yet. 6. device support 3 microphone, yeah right, try to have 3 wireless shure connect to it oh boy interference make it impossible to use so at most two microphone only. ... show more

The receiver is good for home use after a few beers. I paired this receiver with two idolpro karaoke speakers and the guests liked the sound. The fx on the mic can be a little better as it's not very noticeable when the music is turned up. I have used it twice in the last few weeks and the unit performed well for the duration I used it for (probably 4hrs continuously each time). The system fills a 20x20room with enough volume. Well, I might be lucky to receive a defect one with severe humming noise from the amplifier. Vocopro is very responsive to replace one and the amplifier problem was resolved. However, I found a more fundamental problem in its karaoke features in the new machine. The 'key control' feature doesn't work properly. It tunes the music to a strange key tune which no way you can sing along with. The 'key control' is one of he most important feature in karaoke machine. I asked Vocopro again for assistance but no response this time. I had high expectation on VocoPro KR-3808PRO but now with disappointment. So, I returned it. ... show more

Worked for about a year and then as it heats up for about an hour it starts popping and that really is not good for speakers. It is now useless. For almost $400 that is very disappointing. Don’t buy vocopro products. This is the 2nd receiver of theirs that quit working. The first one lasted about 5 years, but was also very expensive. ... show more

Overall I'm really happy with this receiver. It's easy to hook up and really pretty self explanatory to use. I was expecting the set-up to be quite a bit more complicated, similar to the surround sound receiver I have in my TV room. Honestly it really is just about as simple as hooking it up, turning it on, and picking which input you want to use. We had previously been using just a vocopro karaoke dvd player hooked up to our tv's sound bar, and it was ok like that. But decided I wanted a better quality sound and thought I'd try this receiver. I hooked it up to my Polk audio monitor 50 tower speakers, and a small powered subwoofer and I was happy with quality. I'm sure it wasn't THX quality sound but for purposes of having some drinks with friends and family and then singing some songs it worked perfectly. ... show more

    • Good Unit with One Design Flaw
Good unit with good sound. Easy to use. Docked it one star due to poor speaker terminal quality. This is a rack mount unit, meaning it is designed to be transported and setup repeatedly, however the speaker terminals break off after only a few dozen plug/unplugs. The solution is to use a banana plug adapter and leave it plugged in. Just use 1/4" speaker cables instead of banana to 1/4. ... show more
