Description

‘Britain United’ is the title of this beautiful 1000 piece Falcon de luxe jigsaw puzzle, which is part of the scenery collection. The stunning image illustrates a town in Britain with lots going on, including a typical British pub and a black cab getting involved. The image features a vast array of brightly coloured buildings and plenty of people so you know there is a lot going on in this town. The Britain United has so much activity going on and is fun for everyone. This scenery 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle has been illustrated by the very talented artist – Graham Thompson. The finished size of the 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle measures 68 x 49cm (approximately) and has been produced using a high quality cardboard to ensure every jigsaw piece maintains its original shape and creates a poster-like finish to be enjoyed. Today’s Falcon de luxe puzzles are designed and crafted with the same passion for excellence that we have always had. They celebrate Falcon’s distinctive brand values of heritage and innovation. We choose only the most suitable illustrations for our jigsaws. We die-cut each jigsaw piece carefully, so when the jigsaw is completed, it looks more like a poster than a puzzle. Making jigsaws has always been, and will always remain, our passion. Set Contains: 1000 piece Jigsaw Puzzle

  • OK, but not a Van Hasteren substitute
Bought this because so few Van Hasteren puzzles left that don't cost the earth. Love the humorous puzzles, hoped this would substitute. And it kind of did: Van Hasteren humor is just funny, innocent, not mean. Thompson humor has a tiny bit of meanness running thru it. That's how it struck me, maybe it would not hit you that way. But the point is, Thompson is *not* as much fun as van Hasteren. The other thing is that the Van Hasteren puzzles have small figures, so a single piece has more of a face or body in it, and therefore is recognizable. Somehow that makes the puzzle easier. Big figure puzzles aren't as much fun because a single piece might be half an eye, and where in the hell does that half-eye go? I'm going to try one more of the Thompson ones. If I change my mind about the meanness, I will edit this post. ... show more
