I have been looking for a clock like this off and on for years. When I saw this one, I knew that I had finally found the style I wanted and the price I was willing to pay! The clock arrived intact, packaged well and in excellent condition. The directions were somewhat unclear as to how to set the chime at the correct time. It took several attempts to set the chime so that it sounded with the correct hour. Once I realized that the time needed to be set to the chime (instead of the other way around) it was easier to get it insync. The chime has a pleasant sound, although it is electronic sounding rather than a pure sound, which is what I would have preferred. All in all I am very happy with this purchase and hope to enjoy this clock for many years to come! ... show more

I read some mixed reviews about this clock but decided to take a shot anyway because it was exactly what I was looking for, very elegant looking and perfect for my living room, and the price was great. I am very happy with it so far: it looks great and appears to be well made. Some other reviewers said their clocks arrived broken or not working properly, but ours is perfect! It does not look cheap, as some others said. Of course it is not of the same caliber of a grandfather clock which costs thousands of dollars (as many do) but it would be silly to expect that. In my opinion it looks like it costs much more than it does, and I’ve already had guests comment on how beautiful it is. I do agree that the sound of the chimes is a bit tinny, but it still sounds nice and I do not feel disappointed with the tone. It was a little tricky to get the chimes to sound with the correct number based on the hour, but the instructions provided were very helpful. It has been keeping accurate time so far and overall I am very happy. It looks great on my wall and I would recommend this clock without reservation. ... show more

I ordered this for my elderly mom in May 2021 who lives 3.5 hours from me. She was not able to set it up correctly so had to wait for me to do it for her which was not for a few weeks. Once I got there I had to go online to get the proper setup, but even then the chiming did not work correctly as it would raise and lower the volume which was not very loud anyway. The clock lasted a little over a year, but now the clock mechanism does not work, just the pendulum swings. Installing new batteries did not correct the problem. Should have returned it when the chiming issue showed up, but she wanted to keep it. ... show more

The wood was very nice but the rest was made out of paper and cheap plastic. The pendulum had a little protective piece of plastic on it and after I peeled it off, I had to clean it with goo off. The Melody choices sounded dumb. For what was spent on the clock, I expected better. Probably going to return it. ... show more

Beautifully crafted. Packed excellent. It took me 10 minutes to figure out how to set the chime but I finally got it. Takes 4 AA batteries and easy to use. Love it, thank you.
