Some aftermarket lights are questionable. These seem very good. Nice style with good light output, cutoff, and pattern. I paired them with Innovited 55W D2H HID's for low beam.

WOW! while there are haters out there regarding 3rd party headlight assemblies, after installing these in our 2013 daily driver Elantra, I was blown away. The original factory housings had yellowed and turned cloudy despite attempts to restore them, so it was time to simply replace them. When I spotted the VLAN design online, I decided to take a chance. The LED halo switchback driving/turn lights are stunning, giving the Elantra a very sinister look at night and in the day, more in keeping with its angular body esthetics. I installed the highest output LED bulbs I could find in the low beams and they are more than adequate while not overpowering to oncoming cars. Yes, the low beam aiming is adjusted a tad too low from the factory, but that is why there are adjustments and for installers that might never take the time to adjust them properly, initially being aimed low ensures that they will not blind oncoming cars. The installation was pretty straightforward, but removing the old assemblies and seating the new ones takes a bit of patience and persistence. Just follow any of the many online tutorials on removing them. The VLAN assemblies are a PERFECT fit. I did find one minor issue when I went to plug in the passenger side, the socket was installed 180 degrees off and the housing had keyways that prevent simply rotating the power plug to match. Fortunately, I realized that the socket on the VLAN housing could be released, rotated after being partially recessed into the housing and then reinstalled and locked. An easy fix. FYI, the VLAN units come with the ability to plug into an auto level aiming system, but the Elantra has no such capability so I simply removed the power pigtail from the unit. FYI, as stated, the units come with NO instructions other than to point out the aiming adjustments. While it is not stated clearly, ONLY the low beam (ie projector) bulbs are replaceable and NONE are included with the lenses. The housing for the bulb IS solid metal so they can handle the heat of either halogen or HID, again I went with high output LED. ALL the remaining lights, including the high beams, are NON replaceable and factory installed. Hopefully the non replaceable LEDs will have a very long life. I was a bit curious if the high beams would actually provide much additional illumination as they are set of three individual high output LEDs shining from above a series of complex optical reflectors. Again, I was shocked at how much further they illuminate as well as well the high beams are focused. In high beam, both the high and low beams operate. As with the low beams, the high beams do NOT blind oncoming traffic which is a good thing as there are NO adjustments for the high beam aiming. A very happy customer! ... show more

Awesome product and makes my car looks amazing. I wish vland would kindly provide a clear instruction on how to operate the fog lights. Anyway i have a nice solution in order to get rid of the fog lights without sacrificing the brake lights. A. In the small tail lights there is a blue wire in the white connecter simply cut it and you should be fine (make sure you cut it from the vland product not your car) B. Wire the blue wire in the two small tail lights to the fog light switch on your lever of the steering wheel. So whenever you turn on the headlights. And you switch your front fog lights. The rear one should also turn on. Its complicated and requires a professional to execute it if you dont know anything about wiring. I also removed additional 1 star because vland support center is absolute garbage and they never reply/help you with anything. But overall sexy and amazing product. ... show more

Well I had searched and searched for new headlights for my 2013 Hyundai Elantra. I purchased these after another set of headlights I ordered didn’t work. These headlight housings have been great so far. Purchased them so I can run brighter LED lights. Took two sets of lights before I found the best set. Pros: Look great, provides a good cut-off for LED lights Cons: Plastic is soft, wires are a bit of a mess in the housing, adjustment was difficult and seemed to be stripping the mechanism just to set, seem to act inconsistent when the cars turn on - each side shutters and sometimes 1 light stays on - not sure what the cause is. Overall, I'm happy with how everything turned out but expected a little better quality for the money. ... show more

Not quite as "plug and play" as I thought. Had to buy a separate component to get the lights to stop flickering. But overall very happy with them! I'm not very car savvy and I was able to install them myself. Yes the DRL do not work unless your headlights are on, but there are some helpful YouTube videos for how to set that up if you'd like. ... show more
