I went up 1/2 size to allow for socks. VERY COMFORTABLE! These little shorty boots are warm, stable, and super cute! The heel height is perfect for wearing with jeans or dress slacks. Soft exterior is forgiving and toe box is ample. The insoles are surprisingly good out of the box. I tried on 200+ styles in stores and couldn't find a shoe that didn't hurt in some way... Took a chance on this pair through Amazon and feel like I won the lottery! Great with slouchy socks and leggings or skirts as well. Very happy with this purchase. ... show more

I’ve tried on over a dozen “navy” boots over the past two years - they might say “navy” but ever single one has been so dark I could hardly tell the difference if they were black or navy! These boots are ACTUALLY navy. I did size down half a size (I usually have to size UP half a size for boots!) but so glad I did because I LOVE these REALLY cute boots. All my toes have room (probably a first!) love that you can adjust the tightness over a higher instep (or tighten) with laces and I love the side zip so I can get my foot in (my instep is high so a lot of boots I can’t even get my foot in!) I was so excited about these boots that I wore them the first day I got them (I usually walk around my house for a while to make sure a shoe is going to be comfortable - these were comfortable the minute I put them on!) I have worn them two days in a row and I did prefer a thicker (no show) sock for comfort. The inside of the left shoe feels like it is rubbing against my ankle but it doesn’t leave a mark - I might just buy no-show socks that are a little higher to cover my ankles. I don’t usually buy “suede/fabric” boots as I’m hard on shoes so we’ll see how these fare - I’m thinking about rain-proofing them…? Did I say, I L💙VE L💙VE L💙VE these boots! ... show more

    • No support at all & uncomfortable insole but I fixed those problems with Orthofeet insoles

Lovely, stylish shoes, just the right height even with my bad back. Looks great with both jeans and dresses. However, I had to rip the Confort insoles out and replace them with OrthoFeet orthotics. I thought after reading the description that I would be able to wear these booties right out of the box, but alas, it was not to be. I only wore them about 15 mins when extreme pain set in at the base of my toes and the middle of my heel. So I ripped the Confort insoles out and replaced them with OrthoFeet insoles/orthotics and I am now looking good and walking on air. Also, added plus, my back hurts less than it has all summer, so the support is perfect now. I chose the lace up style in this bootie so that I could loosen it around my right ankle when it swells up after I have been on my feet all day. They work perfectly for this. The heel really is just high enough to make me look sexy as sin, but I don't feel like I am going to topple over. As bad as my back is now (I'm due to have surgery in the spring on my lumbar and cervical spine) I didn't think I would be able to wear heels ever again. These fit the bill as long as I get rid of the Confort insoles and replace them with the expensive but truly best on the market insoles from Orthofeet. I also LOVE the Navy Suede; it is a true DARK Navy and goes with everything in the blue family except my few teal-colored dresses. The boots are super soft around my ankles and my feet, well except the bottom, but like I said just dig in there and rip that insole out and replace it with something much better. In case you are interested in the insoles I am using OrthFeet 'OFG Women's Orthotic Insoles'. You have to get that Confort insole out to make room for the OrthoFeet insoles, but it is sooooo worth it. I think as a young woman I would have been able to wear these shoes right out of the box with no added support but at my age and with my bad back I need a LOT more support AND cushioning than the Confort insoles can offer. I have actually bought 2 pairs Chocolate and Blue. So you too can be comfortable in these shoes, you just might have to remove the Confort insole and replace it with whatever insole works best for you. ... show more

VJH's ankle bootie is a stylish as it is comfortable! I love the padding on the inside that makes my feet feel very cozy. The non-slip grip on the bottom of the shoe is also a nice feature. The shoe fits as expected in terms of width and sizing. Here's hoping that they are durable!

I bought this for my mom. She is a very picky person when it comes to shoes bc she has wide feet and cannot wear anything too high but because of her position, she always needs to look presentable. We also live in the bitter cold of MN so she cannot wear her nice dress shoes in the snow and needed something dressy but not too casual but can wear with her dresses in the winter time. I found this and bought it for her for Christmas. It just arrived and we share the same size so I tried it on to make sure it didn't fit too narrow. I was really surprised how much room I felt and even though there is an obvious heel that I was questioning, I honestly did not feel the burden of the heel. It feels cozy and decent quality and I hope it lives up to my mother's standards. It looks dressy enough and also causal so that she can also wear it with her dress pants. LOVE! PRO: Super cushion, stable step, looks just like the photos, color is rich, very comfortable. Con: feels like my foot is slipping forward in the beginning of putting shoe on. Might run big. Checked the back and its not actually showing that my foot is moving too forward... so its a confusing sensation. The laces need to be broken in. ... show more
