Our large dog loves tennis balls but they get soggy so we tried this one. She loves it! And we can leave it outside in the yard and it can get wet and we just rinse it off. She doesn't care if it squeaks or not but it's funny to hear her chewing on it! Great toy!

This squeak ball certainly feels durable - it's bigger than a tennis ball and it's heavy for the size. It weighs about 6 ounces compared to 2 ounces for a tennis ball. It squeaks not when you squeeze it in, but when you let it go. You've got to really bear down on it. The honeycomb pattern makes it easy for the dogs to carry around. The most aggressive chewer in our house right now is our foster puppy - he liked it for about 5 minutes and then went to look for a different toy. It is heavy duty and it won't get chewed up like the tennis balls do. I think my greyhounds just aren't heavy chewers in general, and the puppy prefers stuff that has more give to it. ... show more

We have a 14lb maltipoo mix who is such an aggressive chewer. I am always on the lookout for better, longer lasting toys. The green part is very heavy and large for his size. He has been carrying it around by the orange rope. So far so good with this one. Here's hoping I will not find orange and green remnants around the house! ... show more

My 2 labs loved it but it only took a record 5 minutes for me to have to intervene and remove the already frayed rope and return just the green chewable part of the toy to them

You want to talk about a very durable ball this is it. This thing is so hard to squeeze to get it to squeak. However when you throw it & it bounces it squeaks. Our aggressive chewer loves it & it’s also super easy to clean. 10/10 recommend!

    • Our dog’s favorite toy!
We have a 2 year old, 9lb Poma-Poo that we recently adopted, who destroys most toys in record time. We’re extremely limited on what toys we can give him because not only does he destroy them, he also eats the pieces he tears off. Our options are pretty much limited to the rubber-y Kong type toys, and Nylabones/antlers. We noticed him rolling his Kong around with his nose, and thought he might like a ball. Tennis balls were a no go, he immediately began ripping the green fuzz off of them and eating it. So, when I saw this ball…I had to give it a shot. He LOVES it!!! He gets more excited about this ball than any of his toys. He will spend endless amounts of time rolling it around the floor, chasing after it, growling at it…just having a blast. He entertains himself with it, but also enjoys when we throw/roll it for him to run after. Due to the honeycomb design of the ball, he’s able to grab ahold of it and carry it around…even though he’s a pretty small dog. It’s hard to get an idea of the size of the toy when shopping online, but It’s a good universal size for most dogs I’d say. A bit bigger than a tennis ball. He’s not interested in it squeaking so I can’t speak much for that aspect, but it feels very well made, and has some weight to it. ... show more

Please know that this is an interactive toy made to be played with between a human and dog. If you give this toy to your dog as a chew toy, they will pretty quickly destroy the rope. It's what dogs do when left to their own devices! Rather than ruin a perfectly good tug with a rope chewer, get them a rope to chew on. This has kept mine, who loves to gnaw on ropes, from trying to destroy ropes that matter. For play and training this is a fantastic toy and my dogs love it. They now know which toy I am referring to when I tell them to "get your pickle." It has a large enough rubber tug that my large German Shepherds can get a good grip on it with room to spare which means sometimes I am playing tug with two dogs on one end and me on the other (I lose when this happens). The rope is thick and comfortable and has a softer texture than most rope toys. This is more comfortable for me to hold for our games of tug. This toy gets put away when we are not playing with it. The squeaker is noisy, but not as obnoxious as some and it takes a pretty heavy chewing motion from my dog to get it to squeak. This is definitely not for small dogs (despite what is stated in the listing title). I would say medium and large dogs would have the best time with it. ... show more
