This product is sturdy and strong. Stands straight and firm by itself. No weights needed. Easily leveled. Very nice coloring and it ages okay it seems even though you can see the original finish is flaking off the frog. But I think it will still end up looking fine. It’s a shallower bird bath but holds enough water to use a solar fountain pump. You’ll need to treat the water so as not to be drinkable if you have bees nearby. They will take over the bath swarming and using it as a fresh water source. So, if you have bees or wasps and you want to have this near people, taint the water. Don’t worry as birds and other creatures can tell right away the water is bad. However, if you do not have a bee problem, the birds will love this bath. Here in Arizona, it does get too hot in the summer afternoons for the birds to stand on the edge so they will visit in the early AM or evening hours. Overall, a very nice product. You could even use it for bird seeds and I’m sure the birdies will love that too. ... show more

This is very easy to put together. I filled the stand with gravel and sand to give it more stability since it is very lightweight. The bowl part is big and holds a lot of water but not so deep that the birds are in danger. It's very pleasing to look at and it's always a hit with the flocks of birds that frequent my back yard. Great price, fast delivery and easy assembly. Can't ask for more than that. Should last for at least a few years. ... show more

I purchased this bird bath when my other one decided to stop holding water, it works great. It is very attractive and blends well with my bushes and trees. I use a gallon of water when i fill it and it is about the perfect amount. It is shallow enough that even the small birds can use it without fear. It also has small holes around the edge for them to hold onto. I was initially worried that it would be top heavy, but it hasn't blown over yet, even without the stakes they send with it (hence the 4 stars instead of 5). Our ground here is soft and wet so the small metal stakes pop right out. I would recommend using something stronger to keep it secure to the ground if you live in a high wind area, just in case. Since it is a resin material, I will be sure to stake it good during the winter months so if it gets cold and gets windy it won't fall and break at the base. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This bird bath looks really good for it’s very affordable price . Has a simple rather elegant look to it . Nice verdigris finish . Nice wide basin which is great , & perfect depth for water to make my little solar fountain work perfectly . I filled the hollow stand with rocks as recommended for weight & stability , it’s good & secure & not going anywhere , it also includes stakes to further secure it to the ground . Once freezing weather comes I will take it apart & put it up because even though it says all weather I’m not letting water to freeze in it , I don’t see a need in keeping out during winter anyways - it’s easy enough to take apart so that’s not a problem at all for me . I received this birdbath as scheduled, all parts enclosed and it was easy to assemble. I had an old firepit that had rusted out, collected water & was an eyesore. So I pitched the bowl and kept the frame, then painted it black. I leveled the dirt, added some lawn fabric , set the bird bath in the middle, secured with the provided stakes then added some decorative rocks over the fabric. Made sure it was level, then added water. It looks great. I love the metal look but since it's resin, it won't rust. The water basin is a nice width. Overall a very attractive and sturdy birdbath. (I will be adding a solar fountain and water heater soon.) Update: One more thing I am finding that I like with this birdbath. Because it screws together, the bowl is easy to unscrew so that you can empty and refill, which is very handy. Don't think I could do that with one that was one piece. Oh, and I did order and receive the solar fountain. It's the round black one that has suction cups, but can float on the water as well. It works great, sorry I was unable to upload a video. Haven't gotten the heater yet. Update: this morning I went to remove the ice from the bird bath and as I was unscrewing the bowl, it slipped and cracked. I contacted the seller to see if I could get a replacement bowl. They just emailed me that they are sending me a whole new bird bath. How awesome is that ? ... show more

This is a pretty birdbath, but even with its stem filled with pea gravel, it is top heavy. Its bowl is wide and shallow, its stem is narrow, and its base is tiny. It is molded from light weight black plastic and painted gold to look as if it is bronze with a patina. While we were assembling it outdoors, the wind blew it over and an edge cracked off. We were able to glue it back on and anchor the base using the included stakes, but while we were getting the hose to fill it, the wind uprooted the stakes and knocked it over again. We used longer, stronger stakes and filled the birdbath to the rim. It was too shallow for even our tiny solar fountain, and by evening, it was pumped completely dry. The price of the birdbath was cheap, but sometimes you just get what you pay for. You might be able to use it inside a green house, where the humidity is high and there is no wind, but we will be heading to the garden center to buy a more expensive, better designed outdoor bird bath that we can actually enjoy for more than an afternoon. ... show more
