    • Nice looking but very light weight as expected
Nice looking little bird bath. The challenge will be to figure out how I am going to anchor down in the grass. I know those 2 short ground stakes is not going to cut it. Being made of polypropylene, finding a construction adhesive that will actually adhere to a large 16x16 stepping stone will be a challenge. Plan A will be several more longer ground stakes, if that don't hold it then on to a stepping stone base as a plan B. Update: used aluminum wire under the stepping stone and over the base to secure the base. Not going anywhere. ... show more

I bought this purely for the aesthetics, because I really liked the little decoration of the two birds on the lily pad that stuck up in the center. Unfortunately, while the bird bath itself was incredibly simple to put together, that decorative piece was a nightmare. None of the "pop in" pegs were the correct size. I ended up having use use glue on it to keep it together. I could have returned it, but it wasn't worth the hastle, and it was a decent price. It is very light weight and hollow, but it does come with stakes to take it to the ground, so there's that. Bottom line - it's an ok price, the bird bath itself is fine, but if you want the decoration to work, be prepared for a little extra effort. ... show more

I wanted a bird bath for the Mockingbird that takes drinks from the hummingbird feeder moat, but I was having a difficult time finding one in stock locally (end of season). I also didn't want to pay a lot at this time. This particular bird bath is attractive, lightweight, easy to assemble, and so far the birds like it from what I've observed. I love the look, I was apprehensive with the material being plastic, but it's very attractive. I was made aware by another buyer's review that the accessory birds might not fit well. Mine also didn't fit securely so I glued the top pieces together. I have cleaned it and refilled it and it still is like new. Very nice product at a very acceptable price! ... show more

    • Horrible cheap-looking product; returned!
Due to the price, I didn't expect to receive a high-end product. However, I didn't expect it to be such a cheap-looking, obviously plastic, poorly painted, unstable, and overall badly finished item. On top of the poor quality, I received a previously returned item (noted on the outside of the parcel) with former shipping labels cut off along with part of the cardboard packaging. I had ordered a NEW item, not a returned and repackaged "open box" item. I don't think I have ever returned an item to Amazon as quickly as I returned this one. It was an eyesore, and one that would have tipped over by just one bird or have flown away at the slightest breeze. Amazon isn't as careful with the merchants it deals with these days or with the quality of their products. I have ordered thousands of dollars from Amazon every year for nearly a decade, and had never had to return as many items for bad quality, or received as many that looked good though not for long. Up to a couple of years ago, Amazon could be counted on to deliver value, items of fair quality at the best prices in the market, but not anymore.
