  • Amazing Boots
These are just amazing I been wearing barefoot shoes for over a month now because of my back and barefoot shoes have saved my life!!! These are my most expensive shoes iv purchased and let me tell you! These are amazing comfort is great they feel so nice I went out climbing rocks and trees and they worked so well they are waterproof the size runs bigger I wear size 12’s but ordered 11’s and they fit perfectly! I love the look of these boots they are really nice to look at I saw some bad reviews of these and they should stick to thick soles if you need to wear barefoot shoes/boots and want to take them through rough terrain these are it, please send me free pair black plz and I will make video review haha I love these things!!! ... show more

  • Love this boot
I have spent the summer transitioning to a minimalist shoe. I have been wearing several pairs of the cheap whitin brand which can't be beat for what they are. With fall approaching, I needed something a little more rugged. I have tried xero boots which are essentially right in the middle price wise between Vivo and whitin. I find their soles cheap and not ideal for winter in the Midwest. I was hesitant to purchase these simply due to the price but I am glad I did. I thought the ankle "support" might bother me as I have become use to the whitin style and wear ankle socks but it hasn't been an issue. These boots still provide the ground contact of a minimalist shoe but there is added protection similar to what some minimalist trail runners offer. The boots are very comfortable and I often wear them at least 10 hours a day. Although I am a little concerned about durability considering their high price, they appear to be made well and the leather seems to be high quality if a little more supple than a typical boot. Overall I am satisfied with the boots and depending on their durability may upgrade from whitin to Vivo leather low tops for the warmer seasons. I will update on their durability. ... show more

  • Great barefoot boot
Size: 8 Wide Color: Bracken
I was desperate to find a waterproof boot with wide toes and that I could feel the ground with. This comfortable boot is perfect. I love wearing it. In cold weather I can wear thermal socks if I need them. I'm ordering my next pair of barefoot running shoes from Vivobarefoot too!

  • Best boot ever!!!
I use these boots for work. I'm always on my feet. I've been wearing boots for the past 10 years and have walked through plenty of boots. These are in a class of there own. Very comfortable, sometimes when I get home, I forget to take them off, because I forget I have thenlm on. When I wear these out, I will buy another pair. ... show more

  • Not wide in the right place.
I wore these for a few minutes, maybe an hour. They were so narrow, so badly designed, I must return them. I specifically ordered wide, they're not. At least, not in the midfoot. Who cares about the toebox? That's not a big deal if they widen the midfoot. The lacing is designed such that, when tightened, the foot is pulled into the heel cup. It doesn't do that. The pieces attached to the heel cup to accomplish the pulling actually dig into your skin at your ankles terribly. I almost bled. I specifically ordered non-Gortex. Gortex is a bad idea for me. If the shoe/boot retains water for more than ten minutes after a water crossing, why bother? No, I'm returning these poor things. I've spent 1/5 the money on surplus boots that do as well. I was wanting some weight savings on my legs. Well, now I know. ... show more

  • One or two breakable parts
On the first pair I ordered, I pulled hard to pull the laces snug, and the right eyehole came out. I'm on my third pair now, having returned the previous two, and having had my boots sitting too long for the replacement. I have been able as a surrogate to add a one inck S-hook to replace the lost eyehole, and have the box safely kept in case I need to replace more eyeholes. It's basically a really nice boot, but much more brittle than it looks. Four stars is for after getting an order of S-hooks to replace missing eyescrews, and adding a drop of superglue to all remaining holders of screws. ... show more

  • Most Comfortable boot I own
Size: 10 Wide Color: Bracken
I was a bit nervous ordering these after reading some of the reviews about comfort and some soreness, particularly around the ankles. These boots look incredible and are very well made. Initially I had some mild discomfort around the ankle and then I realized I was trying to lace them like my other standard hiking boots... tight around the footbed and a bit looser around the collar. I then started barely tightening them and it all started to make sense: No slip or slide on inclines or descents and an amazingly comfortable hike. I'm totally hooked. ... show more

  • Manufacture Issue
I have ordered this item twice, once on another account.. Unfortunately they have had the same issue. The shell of the shoes themselves are awesome, truly waterproof, comfortable and durable. However, the rivets that anchor the shoelaces into the base of the shoes are very brittle. First time putting them on, the rivet pops out of socket. That's TWICE now, on DAY ONE! Due to the now open rivet in the shoe, the "waterproof" ability is now void. Getting a shoe-tailor is the proper fix, but these are already $270. MY ADVICE: Feed the shoelaces gently through the anchors when tightening the shoes on your feet, even if the rivet pops out they are still great support for your ankles. MY EXPERIENCE: I walk an average of 10 miles a day. These shoes are truly comfortable and can handle the terrain. The tear on my Tibialis Anterior Tendon does not effect me while these are on. Unfortunately, I now have wet feet when bestowed wet terrain. I can confidently say that I love the idea of these shoes. Structurally they are just not there yet. ... show more
