    • Works Well For The Desired Purposes But Could Use A Few Tweaks

This multi purpose transport chair arrived quickly and well packaged. The chair comes with all parts and pieces nicely secured in the product packaging box. There is an instruction manual included that provides assembly instructions step by step and any other pertinent information. The chair is relatively lightweight but surprisingly sturdy and comfortable for the occupant while using. It has an adjustable seat and leg rest height and has a weight limit of 300lbs. The chair can be used as a transport chair, independent commode, and a shower chair. The independent locking wheels all move freely with a great turn radius and most importantly they keep the chair stopped when in the locked position. The chair is great for walk in showers and seems to be waterproof at all seams. You do want to make sure to remove the commode if you are using it as a shower chair (or even as a transport chair). As an independent commode, I feel it meets the needs but if the user is the one emptying/dumping the bucket then there could be potential issues. As it stands, the seat does flip up but has to be held in place to prevent it from falling back down. If someone is dealing with stability issues then using both hands to mess with the bucket is going to put them at risk. One thing that I found can help is a giant rubber band, just attach it around the backrest and seat when in the upright position and it should hold it there. Obviously not my favorite option but it does work for the now. Another thing that I don’t really like is that this chair doesn’t fold down for storage or travel, meaning it will end up being used where it is assembled. Everything on this chair is easy to clean and functions exactly as it should. The price point for this is on the more affordable end when compared to other similar products. Overall, this is a comfortable and convenient multi use chair that meets my expectations for the included features, but I do feel there are a few things that could be tweaked in order to create a product that can rival the more expensive options. Vive Health has been creating and marketing a wide variety of medical supply needs for the past 10 years and as they state that everyone of their products has been thoughtfully designed and tested. I've been fortunate enough to have reviewed several of their products and was really looking forward to receiving and reviewing this 3 in 1 home mobility device that functions as a Rolling Commode, Shower Chair with Wheels and Transport Wheelchair. This chair would not only benefit the patient with mobility issues but also assist the caregiver in providing an easy and safe way to move their loved one to a nearby commode, easily move them to the bathroom for bathing or transport them to the dining room for a meal with the family or any other room in the home. Although I see this more for home use it could also be a device that would benefit patients and their caregivers at a full care facility as well. The assembly for this chair took literally just minutes to perform once I removed all of the protective packing which consisted mainly of foam wraps and zip ties to protect the painted finish . The first thing I recognized right from the beginning was that the surfaces are non-porous meaning that it will be very easy to clean and sanitize all parts of this chair. The frame is fabricated from light-weight, rust-proof aluminum that has what appears to be a white durable coating that is resistant to chips and scratches. This chair can also support up to 300 pounds and one of the things that stands out is that the chair provides your loved one with a wide and thick cushioned seat for their comfort. The seat height can be adjusted from 20.5" to 22.5" and the footrests can be adjusted in height to suit the individual's needs and each individual wheel can be locked in place for the patient's safety. To be honest the only item I would have liked to have seen added on this 3 in 1 chair would have been a padded wrap on the handle that the care giver uses to push it around with. With all of that said I can easily recommend this Transport Chair for any loved one that has been afflicted with moderate to severe mobility issues since I found it to be well constructed and its' warranty is backed by a large Medical Supply company like Vive. The warranty itself is as follows: 1-year guarantee on the frame, a 6-month guarantee on the footrests, armrests, and wheels/wheel components, and a 90-day guarantee on the cushions. We love this chair! My Dad is 85, not able to stand or walk. Getting him down the hallway to the bathroom & back was a major challenge, and we don't have room in our house for a regular wheelchair. I was able to assemble this rolling commode and shower chair in about 20 minutes. It wasn’t difficult, but it did take some time overall, it was straightforward. The wheels roll, but not completely smoothly. I had to swing and push with my legs to get it moving, which might actually be a good thing for added stability.
