  • Wonderful addition to home health
There is nothing I dislike about this chair. We use it constantly and yes, because of the amount of use we give this little workhorse, I always have to tighten both side screws and the back nobs. no problem there, because it is so worth it. It is an excellent chair for dining because the arms lift. Excellent for transfer hospital bed into the chair for morning grooming and dressing of the patient. We use this for Parkinsons patient who is able to get out of van and walk up ramp to just inside garage. I always have this chair waiting for him to immediately find comfort from leaving the van. The 4 multi-directional wheels are incredible and the locks strong enough to support 200# or more. This is also a very comfortable chair. Also we use it with the Lumex sit to stand and the Drive Hoyer style hydraulic lift. Each of these larger pieces helps get the patient into the Oasis shower chair. We would be totally inadequate in patient transfer without this piece of equipment in our home. I have taken it to two rehab hospitals and the staff loves it for helping with dressing, showering and toileting. It is light enough weight to lift into a car and can feel "flimsy" to some, but a quick finger tightening of the screws and it is perfect and ready to help. I cannot recommend this piece of equipment enough. If there were a hundred stars available it would get all one hundred!! ... show more

  • POOR customer service!
The reason I gave this chair only 3 stars is because of the poor customer service I received from the manufacturer. When I reported the incident to Amazon, their customer rep went out of his way to assist me, but the Oasis manufacturer did NOTHING. The chair came and was quite simple to put together. However, it had a defective foot rest. I wrote to the manufacturer explaining and asking for a replacement, or for a repair suggestion, and got nothing back. To spend over $300, receive something defective, and not have the company make good on it is unacceptable. My thanks to Amazon's customer service for helping me to have this rectified. They, thank God, are issuing a replacement. ... show more

  • Nice chair, but...
This is a nice chair and is easy to navigate. I gave it 4 stars because we've had a couple issues with nuts and washers coming loose.

  • great product
This shower wheelchair is perfect for getting my loved one into her small bathroom and into the shower. It turns on a dime, is narrow enough to get through the doorway, and very sturdy. My loved on can now continue to get real showers rather than just sponge baths. Very easy to assemble.

  • One more time - designed by a NON- handicapped person
Ok it's sturdy, parts are strong - but it's not designed by a user. The back angle is straight up 90degrees, like sit up straight as an ironing board. It's very easy to tip, it's a pusher chair, but the weight distribution is off, super easy to tip ... my mom. Desperate, out of time to find a place, find something that would work, bought this in a flash. Day after rehab, plus 2 weeks of skilled nursing, and day after Christmas move into assisted living. From living with me and my husband for the last 5 years. I know what I'm talking about with a handicapped person and midthigh amputee - from 2018. So now desperate to find something in 2024, this will work for tomorrow, to get her clean. It will not work for future, it's dangerous, i's tip easy, it's too straight up in the back piece, it's heavy, the middle portion to pull out for a toilet chair is ridiculously heavy, This whole chair is for short term - do not buy if you have a truly disable person. It's made by people that have no idea what it means to be disabled. I was desperate, and will be shopping for something better. This is honestly - crap. This is nuts, it's so hard to find something that actually works, This a hard plastic ironing board straight back, with a seat cut-out, and bowl, never mind the commode aspect of it, as a right leg amputee, without the foot peg - which she doesn't need, there is a big hole in the metal that will fill up with water, again, designed by people that aren't handicapped. Just stupid. And not everyone wants a commode and shower combo!!! That's for ease of caregivers only! Not for the user. How does it really feel to have a giant hole in your seat while you are trying to take a shower. For real, while your parts and pieces are hanging through a big hole in the center of your chair. It's just mind boggling that someone can't come up with something better. This is awful, it's too straight in the back. It's too tip easy, it's just crap. Do not order. ... show more

  • Just what we needed
This has worked out well since my father can’t stand in the shower anymore. We have a wheelchair accessible shower and I am able to use a sera lift to transfer him to the shower chair. Then I can get most of his bottom now. It also can be used over the toilet and is a decent height to getting up. It was not difficult to assemble. It is sturdy enough, rolls easy, the arms raise easily and I like that all 4 wheels can lock. ... show more

  • versatile and very useful
Has been a big help for when I want to shower my spouse, just wheel her right into the shower and this works great! And it is great that the center of the seat is removable so I can give her peri care.

  • Tray problematic
Rectangular deposit tray is a problem because standard bag liners do not fit it properly--I tried two different brands--and because the tray is mounted flush to the underside of seat removal while the patient is on the seat can be difficult and possibly painful to their bottom. Otherwise unit works as it should. ... show more
